I'm an English teacher from Russia, I love exploring all the different kinds of English accents around the world. Patois is for sure my #1 favorite accent, followed by African English and Italian-American slang. Tenks, me bredda!
@@RomonWrites To be honest I got into patois thanks to many GTA games😂 From K-Jah radio to Rasta characters, they really sparked my interest in this dialect
really beautiful language, sounds way warmer than standard english. I dont know why but I love they way Jamaicans pronounce vowels, and all the cool slang. You can see a bit of the rich and unique culture from Jamaica just by listening to their language I feel like. I wish all the best to this amazing country and its people, I hope live will get easier for all the people struggeling because of Corruption and Jamaicas colonial past. If things over there will start to get better for average people Ill definetly visit one day and will try to emerse myself in the culture for a time. Right now I would feel kinda weird coming over for a holiday or something knowing how many people are struggeling to feed their families, and all the other shit going on. It´s really unfair that one of the nicest most amazing people on the earth have to live in straight up Ghettos.
I oersobally prefer Patois over English, be honest. And our culture is indeed rich and vibrant. Also, it''s really nice of you to be moved by the issues affecting the country. However, as sad as the reality is, it's a common reality everywhere. But certainly, I hope things get better one day, for all of us everywhere.

It's really ''yeah man'' which means : okay, okay dude, okay bro, sure dude, sure bro. It's something you say in accordance to something. For example, are you going to the game? - Yeah man! I am seeing Jamaican Patois more difficult than English, and I'm saying it cuz I'm Ecuadorian so my native language is Spanish, so I have learned English so many years, but I don't see this easier than English lol, maybe in pronunciation is a little easier in Jamaican Patois, but it's so interesting to learn a lot of Jamaican Patois, I'd wish to learn a lot because I am Dancehall music fan and I can't understand almost nothing from this music, even so, I enjoy it, like these videos. By the way, you should do a video translating Jamaican songs, I think this way to leern it's so much fun and dynamic. :D
I suppose the difficulty will be perceived differently by different people. Fair. So I suppose you just need to get use to the language. As for songs, I've thought about and I have a few problems : 1. I'm not sure how ton'present' them. 2. Copyright is problematic if I'll use portions of the song. 3. If I'm doing songs, I won't do dancehall, since I'm not a fan. However, I know that many people like it. But I'm still thinking about the idea and hoe to deliver it.
