Patois is such a unique mix of African, Irish, Cockney, Scottish. My ancestors are English Bahaman so I have been to all the Caribbean Islands and loved my visits to Jamaica. I'm also originally from the South and would hear Jamaican spoken in areas like Key West Florida (where my Dad was born) and in my time in New Orleans and later Savannah, GA. Patios means broken French how do Jamaicans speak broken French? Second language is Spanish is it not? I asked my pops the same thing a Jamaican and could never give a good answer.

What I want to learn about Patois is conversational things that I really don’t understand at all. Like, I can hear English words but I have no idea what was said.
The target audience is whoever that wishes to learn our language. This is a volume of lessons, I’m currently up to Lesson 27 and constantly adding and updating the channel. It starts from the beginner level and progressively gets more advanced.
