Great vid, Johan. The Gillette Super Speed is an exquisite razor, created during the Golden Age of wet shaving. My favorite butterfly razor-and I own a couple of Fat Boys. I have a couple of Super Speeds-one from the ‘60s and one older than that. Still, I think I prefer the straight razor. But occasionally I still go back to the Super Speed.
I came from shaving with a multi-blade cartridge razor directly to a traditional straight razor. I'm still to scared to shave with a "safety" razor. You are a brave3 man tham I am, shaving with a eazor where you can't see the blade's edge on your skin.
4:30 am, that should be about sunrise, yes. (4:18 here...) Remember, and I really don't want to say this, when you say that the soap* is "a whole meal" you are not supposed to eat the soap! Thank you. I am primarily a straight razor man, but the Super Speeds are rather terrific for daily use.

A truly great razor

I went from cartridge to straight razor as well. Shaving with a safety razor did require quite a lot of training. Thanks for contributing!
