Beyoncé's crisp, calculated and clear runs. Mariah's buttery and smooth tone. Whitney's velvety, free and rejuvenating tone.

Some growls she does are intentional, some are just natural, especially when she goes up to her upper belting range, the sound come out easier with the growl, I got the same thing to my voice

I cannot explain the love I have for Beyonce's voice. Her versatility is why I prefer her over just about anybody lol. That technicality with her tone, the growls, and those chippy riffs, along with those runs....I just can't get past the point of being forever impressed in how much she changes one song up nearly every time she sings it! 👑

For those who wonder...Melisma is simply the act of giving one syllable 5 or more notes. So in essence, any run or riff that takes a word or syllable (for example in-"side", in Mariah's Emotions) and giving that one syllable multiple different notes.

@Mariah&WhitneyLamb Sadly, the masses don't consider her as such. Ask the average person who the better vocalist is, between Jennifer Hudson/Adele/Keke Wyatt & Beyonce, & you'll see that they won't pick her.
As a performer they give her all her props, but she's not as revered when it's solely about vocals.

Let's give credit where it's due. Each of these women have incredible voices, range, beauty as well as talent. I think is is wrong to compare one to the other when each are equally talent. Now I love me some Mariah, Whitney, but the last woman singing made me what to cry and I don't even know what she's saying. But I do know how music can soothe the soul and bring inner peace. Dimash Kudaibergen: some of the most insane runs, riffs, and melismas I've ever heard in my life. Nevermind the fact he's capable of an almost unheard of amount of tones/timbres and colours, incredible tone-transitions, ridiculous sustains, humongous range, perfect and consistent vibrato (all through his range and tones), crazy control and pitch accuracy, etc. etc. Just his runs, riffs, and melismas alone are absolutely incredible. The guy surprises with different techniques, styles, and acrobatics in so many of his songs. He keeps evolving.
Why you dimash fans everywhere mentioning and praising him? He's not even in this video.
