Asgardians, yes, but none are "Norse" nor are they "gods;" only the people of Midgard have these misconceptions because their understanding of the Universe is underdeveloped.
Yes, Laufey! He is definitely one of the most underrated MCU characters. One blink and you'll miss one helluva good feat is during the Asgard vs. Frost Giant battle. Laufey used the Casket of Ancient Winters to freeze his Asgardian attackers and then--and this is the impressive part--shattered them with his bare hands. This might seem like it's nothing but when you realize the Asgardians' bodies were merely encased in ice, as opposed to being completely turned to ice, you realize Laufey has the raw power to make Asgardians explode. He's that strong! Excellent video and analysis as always, Key Issues! You guys are easily one of my favorite channels. Love the content you guys produce!
Thor is always in a weird place of being simultaneously ridiculously powerful but constantly subject to moment to moment nerfing. It's kinda just part of his character now.
Just going to point this out as well , Odin was one of the forces Thanos feared, t's why he didnt really make any moves against Asgard until After Odin died as they were legit one of the powers in the universe who could end him if they were brought to bare
We don't just need an Odin movie, we need a trilogy! Laufey, Hela and Surtur could all be compelling villains and deserve their own films, not to mention they could show more of Friga, younger Thor and Loki, the Valkyrie's, there's so much to do there!
We have already basically seen it, Thor fought Hela with gungnir (Odin Spear) and that's the second most powerful weapon on Asgard basically the same as stormbreaker minus summoning the bifrost. + As the older sister she would have more control over it as she did with mjolnir.
It seems like Odin has full control over the Odinforce, and each Asgardian shares in a small bit of the Odinforce, which is what grants them their superhuman traits like old age and superior strength. Since the Odinforce appears to only be able to be controlled by the Royal Family (Thor eventually masters the force, renaming it Thorforce; wonder if Odin's father Bor had a version called the Borforce?), it would make sense that people closer to the Royals, like Heimdall or Thor or Frigga or Sif, would be stronger than the average Asgardian, as they share in a larger part of the Odinforce. The other question is whether or not how much Odinforce you have access to is genetic, and depends on how close you are genetically to the Royals, or it's more decided by the current master of the force; like saying Odin gave Thor his power to begin with just as he was able to take it away, as he controls the Odinforce which dictates Thor's degree of superhuman ability.
@Victor Nieves you can’t inhabit your strength, he’s naturally stronger, way stronger than a single human, that’s not due to magic but his genetics. He should’ve been throwing them around the room like rag dolls. Just stupid writing
@Victor Nieves Kang didn’t enhance everyone at the TVA just mind wiped them and gave them fancy sticks and toys. And not all off them were soldiers as he stated. Like why is Loki who we’ve seen fight dark elves and frost giants losing to a bloody store clerk? Don’t make sense
@Victor Nieves renslayer and Sylvie went up against one another without a suit though so my point still stands. It still seems like wonky writing that they forgot about Lokis strength.
@Victor Nieves without their collars, again physically attributes are not magic. They are not strong because off their abilities. Loki was just born with super strength that they ignored
My head cannon is sticking to when the variants were taken to be TVA employees, they were mind wiped, trained etc, then they were injected with some kind of super serum. Maybe just the hunters though? Mobius didn't seem super strong or could fight. Renslayer kind of put a good fight up against Sylvie so surely she didn't just have normal human strength.
Sylvie is strong no doubt. I don't think she can exactly go toe to toe with Loki though. Everytime they fight he isn't going 100% and he still won most if them.
Fenris is actually the son of Loki according to the Nordic mythology and was never Loki's daughter and not to mention Jormungandr or the world serpent is also one of his sons and the Hela or Hel is also Loki's daughter and forget this not Sleipnir is an eight-legged horse ridden by Odin. Sleipnir was born when the god Loki shape-shifted into a mare and became pregnant by the stallion of a giant, as is recounted in the tale of The Fortification of Asgard. Sleipnir is attested in the Poetic Edda, compiled in the 13th century from earlier traditional sources, and the Prose Edda, written in the 13th century by Snorri Sturluson.
May need to take another look at that- Loki's wolf-child was actually not a female, but a male: Fenrir, & a major component of Ragnarok as he kills Odin during the final battles going on, Fenrir is supposed to essentially eat the sun & end the world (i think, off the top of my head). There are several other things they changed from the true mythology, not sure a lot of people really knew
I agree with your list(although i would put heimdall higher), although if you look at the comics instead of movies this list would be waaaaay different.
This is super random but I noticed you have kept updating the High Republic Power Scaling Tier List and wondered if you were ever going to make a sequel to that video.
It was hinted in the first Thor movie by Loki that Heimdall could be nearly, if not as powerful as Odin himself. So honestly, he should be pretty high up in this list...
I don't know if Thor w/ Stormbreaker could take Hela at her peak (I'd love to see Key Issues explore this matchup in greater detail), but the fan-theorist in me thinks Odin intended Stormbreaker to be more than just a coronation gift to Thor. Perhaps Stormbreaker is more than just a Thanos-killing weapon but a Hela-slaying axe.
That may be the case. As far as Asgardian weapons go, Gungnir is generally underrated despite having arguably better feats than, say, Mjolnir. I'd love to see Hela return just to see how she'd fare against Stormbreaker. Maybe we'll get a What If?
@@KeyIssues But it is the dwarf literally said it's the strongest weapon in asgardian history. Stormbreaker controlling the bifrost automatically scales higher than any other asgardian weapon.
Deity = god. That Odin at one time says they are not, does not change the fact they are. We have the entire human experience to show that even the Sun can be a god; it’s in the eye of the worshiper, not the being itself. Thor actually did stand a chance against thanos in infinity war when his body wasn't fat. I would say Hela based on superior physical abilities, meanwhile Wanda is a glass canon. Sure Wanda can rewrite reality, but Hela could just immediately conjure and throw a necrosword to kill her before she could even attempt to cast her chaos magic. But if Hela gives Wanda even a second to cast her magic or use her telekinesis or telepathy... well it would be over for Hela. Overall i would still go with Hela.
Correction they are gods that is just a movie error because in the first movie Thor he is a God and the avengers movie he is a God and every other iteration and every other MCU movie he is depicted as a god they make sure to let you know he is a god even old and retracted that in the third movie and stated that Thor was a god his sister was a god Loki is a God serter is a god they are all gods and they make that a very clear distinction Valkyrie is a God lady sif is a God they're all gods it was just an error in that specific movie Thor number two because they tried to make it a bit more realistic or bring something different to Thor but it didn't really work because you can't say that he's mortal and then try to give him something different and higher up in other movies make him more than just mortal and that was just some arrows on the studios part the directors whoever the writers or whoever you want to blame for doing that that was just an error on their part cuz we all know that they are gods and no matter how you try to slice it you can't change that because there's no way you can sit here and try to compare Odin to Zeus and then you say old and is not a God but Zeus is then it wouldn't make no sense for Thor loving thunder the movie would be irrelevant because at the end of the day why would Zeus waste his time or even give his time to Thor if he's not a god why would Gore the god butcher even give Thor the time of day if he isn't a god the reason why that movie is going to do big in terms of the plot is because Zeus in the Olympians in the Norse gods and Thor and Gore are gods.
odin said he wasn’t an god but I think he knew he was one cuz we all know Odin has the potential to fight celestials and even Galactus cuz oden is a sky father level God if he believes so or not. and unless MCU Thor either becomes rune king Thor or the harald of galactus he won’t surpass Odin‘s power level . Imagine if all of the avengers were losing against Thanos and odin comes and defeat thanos even in his old age even if Thanos had the infinity gauntlet👀
Fenris should be higher because he is the one who can pierce Hulk's skin in mcu and Hulk can't even fight him properly, add the mythology version he swallowed Odin
odin said thor is stronger than him so id argue thor is stronger than hela and surtur too since odin overpowered them, thor also has acess to magic now which im really looking forward to see being used. he also beat a 6 infinity stone ray and cut through thanos with 6 infinity stone durability. and imo hela was only able to destriy mjolnir becasue she was its first wielder
The issue with that is after that statement is made, Thor admits he cannot beat Hela and that would de facto mean he can’t defeat Surtur too. However, Odin beat them both.
@@TheChadChamp yeah but you would think getting storm breaker and being able to compete or kill thanos (the strongest being at the time) would put him as the strongest regardless of that
@@xXSonTJXx Stormbreaker most definitely scales above almost anyone in the verse physically, however we know Uru weapons can clash together based on when Thor had his 1v1 with Thanos. So Odin (who should be more skilled) would logically be able to outskill Thor of that Weapon and just outhax him him imo.
At this time I would have thor over hela and surtur. Thor could easily beat Hela with stormbreaker especially considering their fight was already close on Asgard, Hellas source of power. As for Surtur once again I believe Thor with stormbreaker could defeat him. The weapon when wielded by Thor outpowered all of the infinity stones together which are the source of all life and creation.

@@dod297 She could easily create shields to block them or just toss them away with telekinesis which doesn't take a lot of time.
@@Alexander-ng7zz Hela skewers her before Wanda could react.
@@dod297 How? Wanda has been shown to go toe to toe and react to Thanos' attacks.
@@Alexander-ng7zz by throwing the Necroswords into Wanda, killing her? Thought that was obvious.
Thor with stormbreaker whoops hela tf you mean
lol no
Please do mcu loki powerscaling
odin said he wasn’t an god but I think he knew he was one cuz we all know Odin has the potential to fight celestials and even Galactus cuz oden is a sky father level God if he believes so or not. and unless MCU Thor either becomes rune king Thor or the harald of galactus he won’t surpass Odin‘s power level . Imagine if all of the avengers were losing against Thanos and odin comes and defeat thanos even in his old age even if Thanos had the infinity gauntlet👀
Y el Cocodriloki?
Fenris should be higher because he is the one who can pierce Hulk's skin in mcu and Hulk can't even fight him properly, add the mythology version he swallowed Odin
odin said thor is stronger than him so id argue thor is stronger than hela and surtur too since odin overpowered them, thor also has acess to magic now which im really looking forward to see being used. he also beat a 6 infinity stone ray and cut through thanos with 6 infinity stone durability. and imo hela was only able to destriy mjolnir becasue she was its first wielder
Can you do
How powerful is DCEU doomsday
How powerful is DCEU steppenwolf
How powerful is MCU captain marvel
How powerful is MCU iron man
Odin v infinity ultron might be cool
Kurse should be way higher, he still murks current Thor
I feel like Thor surpassed Odin because I remember him saying that at one point
Yea he does which duh evolution guys
The issue with that is after that statement is made, Thor admits he cannot beat Hela and that would de facto mean he can’t defeat Surtur too. However, Odin beat them both.
@@TheChadChamp yeah but you would think getting storm breaker and being able to compete or kill thanos (the strongest being at the time) would put him as the strongest regardless of that
@@xXSonTJXx
Stormbreaker most definitely scales above almost anyone in the verse physically, however we know Uru weapons can clash together based on when Thor had his 1v1 with Thanos. So Odin (who should be more skilled) would logically be able to outskill Thor of that Weapon and just outhax him him imo.
@@xXSonTJXx surtur and hela would both kill Thanos
Can you do
The top ten most powerful dceu characters
The most powerful weapons in the dceu
The most powerful weapons in the mcu
In today’s day of tokenism I think Valkyrie has earned her position as queen of assguard in only 2 movies
Definietly Odin. He defeated Surtur, who one shotted Hela, who toyed with Thor
Asgard is also Thor's main source of power
I thought when Odin said that about them not being gods it was retconned?
Heimdall scales lower than sif? Lol
Hulk stomped Loki but you mentioned how Fenris could have beaten Hulk? This list list makes no sense. Nice try though.
That is true, I wonder if old Loki would beat hulk, however, ever since the original avengers, hulk has been portrayed weaker and weaker
Heimdall deserves better.
You do realise that both lokis were nerfed in the tva because its negates all powers
Did Surter wright the Bangles song "Eternal Flame"!
stanley lee plays the one above all in the mcu
What show is The warrior who stayed?
Hoya bro!
I thing that list gonna change after thor 4, with gorr the god bucher. Just below odin.
Can somebody please help me with something, Was Mjolnir Odin's hammer first before it became Thor's?
When are you doing Spider-Man?!
love you
🥰
These shouldn't been on the list
Kurse is not an MCU god
Layfey isn't an asgardian
Hey...gr8 job...BUT what about Bor, father of Odin?
Featless
How come Laufey and Loki's spots are connected along with Thor and Hela's?
Where would Odins father rank?
Odin MCU Vs Ego MCU?
Ego
@@KeyIssues Would it be close??
Ego is a Celestial and on a totally different scale than Asgardians.
indeed Odin>>all asgardian gods combined,he is called The Allfather for a reason
If ego wasnt a prick and let starlord be a god, would starlord not be the most powerful hero in the MCU?
