There is always someone out there with an attacking philosophy who has coached at a high level, any of them are possible. Many candidates worth giving a try to. Every candidate is an unknown for the England job but give an attacking coach a go and you might be surprised with wonderful outcomes. Better to have a go and have no regrets than be safegate and be full of regrets.

It's irrelevant who the manager is because it's obvious that our players do not play international-style football week in & week out. International football mirrors the style & tempo of la Liga, SerieA, even the Bundesliga. It's nothing like the Premier League, and that's why our players (whoever they are) will never excel in international tournaments. Last night we got comprehensively outplayed by the worst Spain team in 20 years. LeNormand is not Puyol. Simon is not Casillas. Olmo is not Iniesta, Morata is not Villa, Rodri (quality though he is) is not Xavi. Yamal is not prime Pedro / David Silva.
Yamal can play better than Pedro with way more talent, Rodri is a CDM who is very close to being at Busquets level even though he is not as talented but is the best CDM in the world while Xavi wasn't a CDM but an 8 while always playing as a 10 for Spain and Iniesta played as a winger but he didn't have the pace and goalscoring ability of Nico so maybe u shouldn't be comparing Apples to oranges. they outplayed all the best teams, having the biggest supposed stars means nothing in football go and ask the Real Madrid Galictos who won nothing while Barca were winning with Ronaldinho deco and etoo.
Spain must have had something about them if they won every single match they played in the tournament.

Part of the reason he probably walked away from Liverpool was likely because he couldn't be bothered to deal with the English media anymore, so what makes anybody think he will walk straight back into a job where they do nothing but talk rubbish about any and everything.
Fact is that over the last 50 years we have had some very good managers who have failed to get the best out of some very good English players, its not just about the manager the players have to take responsibility for not performing at their best
I don't think Gareth is the reason. Bellingham, Saka and Palmer effect the game because they want to and aren't scared too. Good players win games, and few show up for England when it matters. Coming from a scot i wanted to see the players do well, but unfortunately, they cant seem to get over the hump.

It's laughable to say players like Foden, Bellingham, Rice etc have to take responsibility for their performance, these are people who are at the top of their profession at their clubs. The reason they didn't perform is wholly on the coach asking them do do things and play in positions that didn't get the best from them. That is the essence of being a national coach, looking at what is available and creating a team structure which every single player in the squad is comfortable coming in and out of.
