Tips for applying to UN Volunteer assignments

I have been applying for UNV positions for the last 5 years and have only received three interviews. For two of those positions, I didn’t receive any follow-up, not even an email notifying me that I was not selected. UNV has very high standards for its volunteers, but they do not seem to uphold the same standards for their own communications.

I was interviewed as an International UNV last month. I spent a lot of time preparing for the interview. I believed the interview went well. Then, I waited for the result. The UNV and the host agency did not even cared to inform me that I was unselected nor replied to my follow-up email which I sent a week after the interview.
