  • On the west side of Lake Jesup in Central Florida, you will find a creek. It is called Soldier Creek and it's fed by a series of intermingling creeks and springs that wind through the Spring Hammock Preserve. "In this 1,500 acre preserve, the trails are easy to explore. You have options ranging from paved to splashy muddy adventuresome, and the park has some of the biggest cypresses you’ll ever see.
The preserve includes the Seminole County Environmental Studies Center, extensive interpretive trails, a shimmering spring, and a floodplain forest where you’ll always see birds busy looking for their meals. Bisected by the paved Cross Seminole Trail, it’s well worth a visit any time of year, whether you arrive by bicycle, car, or on foot from neighboring communities. It’s also home of the famed “Mud Walk,” cherished by generations of schoolkids." According to FloridaHikes.Com This short video was made from clips sewn together of all the trails and creeks. It really is a cool area out there. I wish I could've seen it a century ago. Thanks for watching and commenting with something positive. If you could see the nastiness on my end, it would blow your mind. It's part of the reason I quit posting videos for a while. :/
