Hi Dr. Dray! I know this doesn’t specifically pertain to this video, but I wanted to send you a HUGE thank you for sharing such in-depth, scientific, and useful information for free. I’ve had seemingly untreatable acne for many years…gnarly, ugly, and painful to boot. I can’t afford to see a dermatologist (and my poor-people medical coverage thinks dermatologists are a luxury 😑), so I googled until I landed on pictures of fungal acne. A lightbulb went on! Of course, the first slew of videos I found were just lists of what and what not to put on the skin (makeup mostly), and I felt soooo overwhelmed. Then, like magic, I found your video. I took all of your suggestions for treating fungal acne, and in the span of THREE DAYS my skin has noticeably improved! No other acne treatment has had any effect on my acne except this. I am incredibly grateful to you and wish you nothing but the best. You’re truly slinging miracles out here for free. ❤❤❤❤❤

Ugh, so glad I have followed along for years now. You never disappoint! I know you don't really take requests - but, as a January bride, I would LOVE a dedicated video on recommended serums, skin-care regimens, maybe even treatments, etc. that you recommend for people preparing for a big event in 3 months!
Sunscreen! That is a MUST. Double cleanse nightly, and take your time doing so. Timeless Q10 serum would be at the top of recommendations, there’s also some great options on Stylevana!
First of all- congratulations on your upcoming wedding! How exciting! I just wanted to share that the COSRX snail mucin has been a game changer for me. My niece is getting married next month & she started using it about 3 months & she’s incredibly grateful I told her about it. She is literally glowing😊

I highly recommend doing a double wash for clients that use a lot of product and don’t want to use a clarifying shampoo. If you wash your hair once and then rinse that first round of shampoo about halfway and then add a little more shampoo you will find you get a much better lather. Just a little tip from a hairstylist of 17 years. Thanks for your commitment to your channel Drea, we all really appreciate you. 🩷
Hi Dr Dray I really like the skin1004 probio cica line too. I used the moisturiser as my day cream in the Summer here in Scotland on my super dry, rosacea and eczema prone skin. It worked well and the texture is indeed very similar to products with snail. It worked well under my ultrasun spf btw. I need a richer cream as the weather cools, so I ordered the toner and serum to still get the ingredients but in a lighter formula. Both work well together or separately and I like both. Importantly all three do not irritate my ultra reactive skin. Best wishes.

The whole P.Calm line is amazing. Their Cato Cream is my next favorite. And the Skin1004 line is so gorgeous.
Since you liked my recommendation for the Probio-Cica ampoule, I’m curious how it would compare to the Manyo Bifida Biome Ampoule which seems similar but with more ferments, so maybe more magic ingredients✨

1. When do you use the Skin 1004 product? After tretinoin? Or before sunscreen (after waiting for the Skin 1004 to soak in & dry a bit?)?
2. Can we use the Cetaphil Healthy Renew night cream if we use tretinoin?

That's my question too! Skin 1004 before or after sunscreen and before or after Tretinoin at night. I'm never sure how to layer products.

Hi Dr Dray! I'm so glad you enjoyed the Skin 1004 serum. I was so close to ordering it recently, but then I located the full ingredient list and found out that the second ingredient was Butylene Glycol. For some strange reason this ingredient always causes immediate breakouts in my skin. Such a shame because the active ingredients are wonderful.
Im so tempted to try the skin 1004 ampoule, but I love the Cosrx snail mucin products. I don’t think that I need both? Love your videos!!!❤️❤️❤️
You guys have got to try the Cica Serum by Torriden. I have been struggling rosacea for years and this has been the BIGGEST thing that has helped so far!!

Honestly, the only thing you need is a cleanser and a sun screen. As I got older I have tried almost everything to look younger + delay aging as much as possible (Never tried filles or Botox though), anything from face exercises, vitamin C serum, Fraxel, collagen supplements and of course Retin A (7 years straight), home devices and what not. However, nothing made any real difference compared to the high-quality derma pen I purchased for under 100 bucks. Within 3 months of use, my skin has improved DRAMATICALLY. I don't look like I'm 18 again, but definitely not 42 either. My fine lines have disappeared completely, and my nasolabial folds are way less are nonexist (Never had jowls though). People often underestimate the power of wounding and the revolutionary effects it can have on the skin and instead just spending hundreds on creams, serums etc which will do so little if anything

Ive started doing this for almost 10 years - most guess I'm @ 15 YEARS younger than my birth certificate says.
I DO it myself at home, quote aggressively in places, and lightly in others,,maybe 1x month. I am 63
+1 for kora beauticaIs. I've been doing microneedling since it started 12 or so years ago. Nobody believe I am 55. They all say I am in my 30's or early 40's. As you know, as we get old, our skin gets thinner therefore creating wrinkles. But the wounding kept my skin still thick and youthful. Your comment will help so many women to restore their skin..

My September faves are The Ordinary Retinol 1% in Squalane and Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Lotion. The Ordinary Retinol 1% in Squalane is a bit of a rediscovery; I already used it before but was not impressed, but recently because I did not have much skincare with me I applied only the retinol oil for my night routine and to my surprise my skin preferred it that way and gave me good result. Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Lotion I tried almost by accident and it turned out to be a really nice lotion for my eczema and acne prone skin; love it for my face and the regions I get eczema rash and get bug bites.
where do you purchase illiyoon? how were you using the ordinary produc last time?
I just got the Gold Bond Retinol Overnight. I am loving it! I have been using it on my body at night. I was nervous to use it on my face as I didn’t know if I would break out. I haven’t and it makes my face so soft. Which one do you think is better for the face at night? The Gold Bond or Cetephil? What would be the difference between the two? Is one better than the other? I’m 59, on the drier side and have somewhat sensitive skin. As far the Skin 1004, would that be something good to use during the day under sunscreen before makeup or another nighttime product?
The cetaphil cream doesn't have retinoids in it. In her short on the Skin 1004 product, she says it can be used twice a day.

I used the body wash, it’s amazing it got ride of my keratosis Polaris, it’s really good I even use it on my face sometimes and cleans but doesn’t strip my skin.
How do you use it? Do you put it on a wash cloth or a loofah or just rub it on your body with your hands?
Here in Greece we have available only the some by mi you talked in today's video the green one but the thing that fascinated me by far was the xeracalm A.D. creme wow the feel the silky finish on the skin just mind blowing at least for me 😊❤ also I've tried the uriage bariederm cica cream which is good but so so in terms of feel and texture 😅 cicaplast is by far the best from my pov. Dear@@LindaKayHolevas paradise is everywhere because America has also places of extreme beauty her mountains, the beautiful lakes and the forests (i don't not know in which states specifically but from one guy that i follow on IG shows such beauty that is breathtaking 😇😊😍🙏🍁). Greece has such beauty as well but each one is unique so paradise is everywhere and in every little thing object or individual. By that i mean is the place might not be nice and wow so pretty but it's people might be gems and create a whole different pov 😊. One thing that saddens me is that there is much hatred and malice still in this century 😣 and i don't understand why since the most important thing we should do is love and care for everyone as fellow humans in times of need.
All of these items sound like very nice recs and I think I'm going to try a couple of face products mentioned as soon as I'm through with what I'm using now. Now that the air is starting to feel dry, and we've used space heaters for a few days last week, I'm starting to worry about chapped hands and lips. I've found, since moving to the northeastern part of the US, that starting routine of treating chapped lips once October arrives (which I do throughout the day) has been extremely helpful. Thanks for the recommendations.
Great video, I always look forward to hearing about new products. One idea for a video that I think would be helpful would be a top-ten list of say moisturizers or serums or whatever product that does not include niacinamide or hyaluronic acid in them. Or that could even be like a little mini series or something. I know that would be pretty helpful for me. Thanks again and I always look forward to your videos!
i think she already has videos that are non niacinimide and non HA. not sure if she has one that has both. one that comes to mind is aveeno baby lotion. i believe that is HA and niacinimide free.

Have you tried Vanicreams facial moisturizer? I thought it was very hydrating but very light feeling and non irritating.
I recently discovered Simple Water Boost Skin Quench Sleeping Cream. I love it! It has that viscosity you mention, & a very hydrating feeling to the skin.

Happy Monday, Doc! 😃 Question for you: Do you recommend the Cetaphil Healthy Renew line for those of us who use RX retinol on a daily basis, or is this more geared for peeps who do not use a strong retinol?
The cetaphil is peptide based and lists itself as a retinol alternative for folks who may not be able to tolerate retinoids.

I assume the sun cream is not water resistant? Look very nice. I try and use water resistant most of the time just to minimize rub off to help if my reapplication isn't as 100% as it should be.

I just got the AlphaSkin Glycolic Acid thanks to your recommendations :)
I also really like the P.Calm sunscreen....dare I say I might like it a little more than the Round Lab birch juice sunscreen. I like that the P.Calm sunscreen is fragrance-free, and it is just a smidge less dewy/shiny and just as moisturizing as the Round Lab sunscreen.
I wish you would put in time stamps so I can skip over products I’m not interested in.

What moisturizer can I use for dry skin? That’s acne prone. Is Cetaphil Healthy Renew Moisturizing Day Cream 1.7 Oz, Daily Moisturizer with SPF 30 a good choice?
I just got Cetaphil sheer mineral sunscreen face liquid and it seems good, especially for oily skin. I have the Inkey list Dewy sunscreen, but I have not tried it yet (just got it today). ☀️
The SomeByMi cleanser comes in a bar soap form too, which I LOVE!
On a related note, I would love to know what you think about bar soaps and bacteria. Personally, I don't think its that big a deal, as most of the bacteria sit on the surface and can be got rid of by rinsing the soap before using it on skin (from my knowledge). Ive never had breakouts on my skin due to bar soap, and I've been using them for a few years now. But I would love a professional opinion on this

I, like you hate wasting expensive, or even moderate priced skin care items. I've recently been using the eye balm by Versed, as a cuticle cream. My nails are growing like crazy! Is there any reason not to use a rentinol product on your nails? It will probably be fine for an eye balm in colder weather but I live in Alabama and there's almost no way to use an eye balm with our heat and humidity.
Have you tried color wow dream coat? I believe it is fragrance free and was wondering if you could review it for us. Thanks for your videos btw!

I don't believe she has any but Dr. Sam Ellis mentions one in a video from last year (dermatologist's favorite hair products). There's also the blowout professor who's got videos/shorts on them as well as Abbey Yung. Nikol Johnson (MUA) who has gray hair has videos as well.
