Always too good. Not scripted, no production crew, no catering chuck wagons, just a guy and his troopy. My trips are far more similar to yours than any of the 4wd offroad advertising programs. Perfect format. Thanks again.

@@aguyandhistroopyHey, thanks for your reply. I know a few Chuck wagons that do great snags 'n spags. I'll eat food in the bush, with an appetite and gusto, that I'd throw back at a waiter in a restaurant. Portable mini pizza ovens are not for me, and hopefully you don't get one for Christmas. Enjoy your trips digger.😊
Great spot. On the day I first went there, that crossing was pumping, and a crossing was out of the question. The loop road eventually goes to Cann River road in the west.
Yeah it’s pretty slippery under foot, could be sketchy with some good flow going over it. Good to know about the loop road, might have to drive it one day. Cheers for watching Rich 🍻
Grandfather had a few hardwood sawmills( 12 or so ) in Vic and NSW, we have been out of it for a few years now. It makes my blood boil about what has happen to the hardwood timber industry in Vic.
No probs, just been found and uploaded by a bigger channel. Hope it’s not turned into a biggest tourist attraction and ruined by people like most things these days 🤦🏽

Gav you always find the interesting spots, love your work Mate! Managed to get to Aspley Gorge last week, what a truly amazing place! Did the big walk around to Lower Falls on my stick and wasn't a dickhead, as looking over them rails was some scary shit lol I headed off then to Barrington however heavy storms only gave me time to explore Copeland Reserve etc and l managed not to fall into any mine shafts lol. Always look forward to your excellent vids, which must keep you incredibly fit running back and forward lol. Thanks for the upload. Cheers, you definitely are an inspiration to get out an explore our great country.
Thanks you, it’s helps when you take some back tracks, get off the merry go round that everyone keeps driving. Glad you enjoyed Apsley Falls, crazy country, just imagine how many millions of years it took to create that. Some good spots up around that way, I’ll be back for sure. Thanks for watching 👍🏼
@aguyandhistroopy l would love to come back in a million years to see how the Gorge develops, be here also at its inception would have been also amazing as the amount of water needed to erode the slate cliffs would have been incredible to witness. Nature is so miraculous. I watch a couple of others also on here who do similar things to you. I love this format more than the build and bash shit, l try to look after my old 4by,, cant afford to ruin it, same as l do with the bush!
@@Lee-astrololee that’s it, I can’t afford to keep fixing the old troopy, but saying that the seasonal closures have opened up so the high country tracks are calling me. I love places like Apsley Falls and big gorges, I could make content of these places everyday.
Isn't it a good feeling in your guts when you can finally tick off some sites that you have ventured into after researching and searching. But this raises the question in my head about who or how the track was first surveyed to cross over at that natural crossing point. Was it for logging? Geographical survey? Water authority? How was it found?
From what I was told by a old fella that afternoon was they were cutting tracks into the bush for logging, seen the falls and cut another one over it, pretty sure that track wasn’t used for logging. Bit of a rough enter and exit The bloke who told them about the falls first name was Neville, as to why it’s called Neville’s Falls.
Alfred Howitt was engaged by the Victorian Govt' to cut tracks in that area in, I guess, the 1850-60's. For timber, gold, and to open up the land somewhat. Victoria was settled from west to east.😊
Yeah, I must start having a dip at these spots. Not really much around, just as I drove out there was a little clearing, don’t see it in the footage, but from memory it was just a turn around area, not that level. Nothing else on the track in. Probably a good thing really. Thanks for watching, and taking the time out to comment 👍🏼
