When I get sick of listening to new podcasts, I always go back to these old O and A clips, and was super stoked to hear Tom Segura in the background of this one. This just goes to show how important O and a were to all of the greatest comics ruling the world right now. Miss this show!!!! O and A party rrock Lingerrrrr Lingerrrrr liferrrrrrr!

I've been a Gervais fan since before The Office and came to Opie and Anthony via TH-cam many years later. To have those two worlds collide is ace. I'm glad Rogan came more into the conversation when it got onto animals and hunting.
Gervais needs to do a Rogan podcast.

Louis Ck and Patrice was. When Louis was saying racist jokes to Patrice, and Patrice was calling him a red headed Spick, was one of the funniest things I've ever heard.

Ricky always wanted to do Radio. That's where the XFM thing sprung up from. You can always hear it on this show when he gets to take a more active part.
Jimmy is so on point here that Ricky is literally pissing himself every other minute. Man Jimmy is deadly funny. Him and Anthony gotta be in my top five favorite comedians of all time.
Joe Rogan is describing my old alzheimer's cat exactly. It just meows non-stop and wanders around confused and going to the water bowl over and over. It also howls at night.

I find a lot of American comedians have a real jealousy towards the success Ricky Gervais has had, Bill Burr in particular springs to mind, which is a shame because I do find him funny.
Ricky Gervais isn't really a stand up comedian, and he wouldn't refer to himself as one, he's a comedic writer, Bill Burr is a better stand up comedian than Gervais but Bill in particular went down in my estimation, he couldn't just say I don't find him funny, he had to make his own facts up about him and call him names.

This was an odd mix of guests but I thought it made for some great radio. Rogan was bringing up interesting points and Gervais and Norton riffing off em. Good stuff. I don't get all the Rogan vs Gervais in the comments...

He's actually worse than that I think. Rogan thinks he's hilarious and full of insights, Opie knew Ant and Jim were funnier than him.

That's a good way to put it. "Matter of fact". It's true. He is such a straightforward guy, and really never cracks a joke. All of the other comedians you hear. Burr, Attell, CK, Norton... etc... They know when to say something a bit absurd, in a comedic fashion. Rogan has no concept of that. Even when he DOES make others laugh. It's always coming in the form of him just relaying factual information. His specials too... I am sometimes left saying "Where's the jokes?". He makes a point and gives an analogy... says it loudly. However, it's not very funny. I like Rogan too, but am merely stating that he's not a top-notch comic.

The contrast between Joe and Ricky is a bit jarring. One is funny and relaxed, the other is basically in a shell doing internet fact checking. (The comment on wolf bites: "that doesn't sound right".) Anyway, I love them both in their own way.

I read the title of this and thought, surely that cannot be a good mix. Rogan and Gervais are from completely differently realms. I don't equate subtlety with Rogan.

I live in the south west of Australia, I go out to fish in a little canoe. last time I went out I was catching a squid and there was this big white thing underneath my Canoe. like over two meter thing. Am happy to be out there with them, but if they have a go I'm going out fighting. Either they are fishing out a corpse, or looking for a one eyed shark. Funny thing is I don't know what to do in that situation. You don't want to piss off the shark, but you may deter the shark. It's a roller-coaster.

Anybody who doesn't see why Opie hated the other guys is just blindly taking Ant's word. Listen to the show and it's clear to see how poorly he was treated by Anthony, Jimmy, guests, callers, you name it. I'm not saying Opie wasn't a jerk, too, but the amount hate he gets is completely unnecessary.
