If i recall correctly, in that same rant where he bashed europeans, he also mentioned how he's been asked to perform in England numerous times, but has no desire to (i'm assuming for similar and/or pretty much the same reasons) /watch?v=oDgdU9zXQmo
Stephan! I know you can't hear this but... YOU WERE SO AWESOME AS WHEATLEY!!! (Probably because you won't read this I'll just message you on Twitter :P)
@@PeasantCorpsemay I ask - who is the most popular European stand up comedian? And by that I of course I mean non-English stand up comedian? And what size venues do they perform in?
British stand up is lame as fuck these days. Sad but true. Stewart Lee and Jerry Sadowitz apart there is so many hacky PC comics with weak as shit material. Bill Burr, Doug Stanhope, Louis CK. No one from UK comes remotely close to them
There are plenty; their material is just disgusting and vile, but actually clever and intelligent. Check out Eddie Izzard and Dara O'Briain, for example.
+IndependentGeorge76 Stand up generally is great. Stewart Lee is brilliant. Check out Richard Herring's channel on here. American standup is shite. Apart from Doug Stanhope. The British standup scene is great. Go live. Stop watching prescripted tv shows. The Appolo is shite!
+IndependentGeorge76 To be fair, you are comparing British comics to the 3 best working comics in the world at the moment. However, British stand-up is really shit these days.
Thanks for the post!
I guess ive listened to these guys to often because i dont even notice it anymore

Who was the guest ?
I don't know if Yimmy does or not, but I think most English people wouldn't consider themselves necessarily "European".
fearfatch damn man, in the time since you commented this Brexit has been and gone. Definitely ain’t European anymore
@@ScottsOnTheRottenCotton But the GayU has nothing to do with being European.

Neither do we Europeans! ; )
Annoying that Jimmy can call all Europeans unsophisticated and hate on their comedy scene, but then proceeds to ballwash Stephen merchant
I'm European and I agree with Jimmy on that. European standup is hackslop for rubes.

That Liam Neeson scene is brilliant, however pretty much the rest of Life's Too Short is lame.
Think it was Jesse Ventura, not 100% sure.

Plenty of good standup. Just don't watch TV to look for it. Live and radio. That's the place
