I think he is one of the very few honest, funny comedians worldwide. He doesn't have to cuss and swear to make his acts or radio interviews funny, I respect him so much as a comedian, he has the ability in a conversation, just to make more of it, and make it memorable. It must be hard, to know everybody is hanging on to every word you say, Ithink he carries himself extremely well. Viva Ricky Gervais!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"You were fat, you were stupid... you know what I mean?" Lol Gervais and Norton improvising that intro kicking the shit out of the boys - very well done.
Ricky Gervais. Is hands down the most talented comic of my life time. I'm 27yo. Please tell me who comes close. . . And I love the fact he leads the wealthy and mums the word, cause he does from the heart not to get famous. If you don't think the is brilliant watch the series extras. E.G. when he tells the cameras off n the "surreal life/ big brother House" pure genius the way he wove speaking to all of Hollywood into that moment
Gervais is f*****g hilarious. A genius writer too. As a stand-up, not top-drawer. Better current comics? Many. Bill Burr, Louis CK, Doug Stanhope, Dave Chapelle......are the top dogs IMO.
Ricky Gervais is also quite left wing and often says "I love paying tax". I've also heard him say "I owe everything to Britain. My family was poor, but my education and health were all paid for by the state. Whatever I earn now, I think 'half of it is mine, half belongs to my country' "
this is like the second or third interview I've seen where Jimmy is the only one talking to him why don't opieor anthony conduct the interview. They're a lor funnier.
He is a comedian, that's an act. It makes you more comfortable with the public situation that your are in. Just look at Golden Globes, do you think he would have made such a good impression if he would have acted like he does in his personal life, with his family and friends?! It would have sucked balls, because he would be the shiest person out there, especially surrounded by that many famous people.
David Haye, Carl Froch, Nathan Cleverly, Scott Quiqq, Carl Framptom, Amir Khan, Derek Chisora , Geroge Groves, James Degale ,Tyson Fury , David Price , Chris Eubank Jnr, I am missing like 50 names there, Boxing is the sport, fuck UFC.
i think people get uncomfortable with those subjects only when it's a comedian about to make a joke because they're afraid they're too dumb to understand the joke and they think they'll laugh at the wrong time...why else would they treat comedians any differently
Certainly there are people like that, and they DO take offense in situations such as that, but they aren't the people that make the most noise I don't think. The people taking to campaigns and trying to get people to ban comedians have an agenda of their own, and they cover many of them in this interview like just wanting attention, someone to notice them for their own selfish needs, and in many cases to get notice for an agenda they have like pro-life, rape victims, etc. Dispicable and selfish people that think they are entitled, and their more important than everyone else. MAny times they don't understand the joke either so that definitely plays into what you are saying too...lol
yeah you're probably right....I guess the ones you really have to avoid are the ones who feel entitled to never be "offended" AND are also just too dumb to get the jokes
I disagree. A lot of people who have this "I'm offended so I'm going to....." attitude are quite intelligent. Personally I think it comes from the fact that people in general don't recognise that their/our morals are largely axiomatic (i.e you can't prove them with logic). People don't want to admit that so they NEED to silence anything they disagree with because they know if they had to argue with it, there's really nothing they can say to win the argument.
What evidence is there of that? From the conversations they've had, and what Joe has said about Ricky's work, I thought they were on good terms with each other.
see thewarningsecondcoming dotcom "Always remember My Love for you all, when you are feeling weak or vulnerable, for it is so great it is beyond your comprehension. Your beloved Father God the Most High"
I loved the genuine aggravation in Anthony's voice when he rings. Gervais can so fcking irritating man, especially when he contrives that shrieking laugh and laughs over whatever challenges him. He does it on his own show (xfm London). Asshole sounds like he literally can't breathe at something barely considered a joke by everyone else around him.
HostDisorder Hey look, it's one of the fucking idiots who thought Ricky and Anthony were actually angry that the entire show roundly mocked the day after this!
I love Jim's idea pitch for Ricky: "I could be your American friend and we just go around........ That's all I have so far."
Gervais was on fire here. Great guy
***** keep believing in your imaginary friend mate. Still believe in Santa Claus? Oops...did i ruin Christmas for you?
I come back and enjoy this atleast once a year. One of the best ever with Ricky.

Ricky predicted the future right away when he said "why do we need them." Though he should've said why do we need him
Yeah i was thinking the same but then i reminded myself that i am here listening to ricky gervais...
Snails...why do we need em?
@@jeffteahan2326there's this thing in it...
Two of my favorite people.
God I wish that Jimmy did Chip in this. He had so many chances, every time someone said "chipped tooth." I'd love to see Ricky's reaction to Chip.
great chemistry, great show last half however was brilliant.
What's the show called 😂😂😂😂😂
Bringing back the XFM
Needs more Pilkington and ROCKBUSTERS
That picture of Ant drinking reminds me of the good ol days.
Good job, Jimmy & Sam. Great interview
Great show
Ricky you legend.
Can't believe they chose Fallon for The Tonight Show instead of Sam 😤
24:50 poor dana. He should pay his talent

Ricky gervais is an excellent business, hard worker and funny man. But as a comedian he doesn't hold a light to Bill Burr and Dave Attell
Louis CK
Gervais is f*****g hilarious. A genius writer too. As a stand-up, not top-drawer. Better current comics? Many. Bill Burr, Louis CK, Doug Stanhope, Dave Chapelle......are the top dogs IMO.
Doug Stanhope is infinitely funnier comedian than Ricky, and I love Ricky.
Not to forget George Carlin
"Human race is fucked"
Is there a more perfect quote out there
Jesus them talking about ufc being safe and the fight they going to take ricky to is when silvas leg snapped in half lol
"You're symmetrical" hahahahaha
When did this originally air?
I love hearing Ricky crack and snigger as he tries to stay serious while bashing opie and ant.
No one cares.
No one cares
Ricky's PA really doing a good job there.........
Dude, that was like 10 years ago. Let it be. Most things are best left in memory.
I'm fat because I intake more calories than I burn. It's not a disease.
good for you
Pilkington would never have stood for phone calls.
I love this but why don't they tell him right away that it's the aftershow?
Ricky Gervais is also quite left wing and often says "I love paying tax". I've also heard him say "I owe everything to Britain. My family was poor, but my education and health were all paid for by the state. Whatever I earn now, I think 'half of it is mine, half belongs to my country' "
If they are in my memory and I bring them up should I be shot?
Damn, Sam knows how to sell a product.
The original Horsecock and Sam Show.
this is like the second or third interview I've seen where Jimmy is the only one talking to him why don't opieor anthony conduct the interview. They're a lor funnier.
"The sport"
I don't know what you mean.
What do you mean?
The same interview but different vid I think.
Ugh jimmy talking about his advice show and addiction. As if he has any insight after his 2 years of boozing before stopping.
@Alex Franke No, no he's not. None of that image he tries to project is authentic.
OPY 'N ANTONY
He is true though

IS THAT IN PESOS!?
YEAH!
Haha funniy how Ricky first argues NO one is addicted to sex or food then he says that he is addicted to working out
killingjokeonmeth He said of course you're addicted to food.
TH-cam removing unpopular speech for no good reason. Classy.

Wonder why Rogain hates Gervais
