Thanks for the run through on the menu. This Xterra Pro gives me the Feel of the Vanquish and the feel of the New Equinox combo. Just a single freq option. Looks like it is going to be a very nice simple navigating turn on and go detector.. Peace
@@Dardanelles_seaman If you are asking me I can not answer that ? other then it is fully waterproof and runs only on single freq. I like the Vanquish it is a very good detector. I was just saying it has similarities to the vanquish and 700/900 just more basic.
You and Calabash are awesome. I really like your videos. I just got my X-Terra Pro. I have to get some headphones still. I have a Whites MXT Pro and it is really good machine but i think i am gonna find more treasure with this X-Terra Pro.😊. Thanks for the video
Thanks for another great review on this detector. I am looking forward to getting one for my Son or GF to use with my existing Equinox coils. Is there any date yet when it will be available to the general public?
Hey AJ, I heard a dealer mention last night that they are in the US and on the way to dealers. Hopefully thats the case, not sure how many.. If not i know they are on the way.
Appreciate your videos of "unavailable" MineLab units. I'm not throwing rocks at you or Calabash, or The Professor, or MD NYC, etc., but geesh MineLab I have been waiting for a prepaid Manticore for since last Fall. Again, good video. Recognize it would be way better if it was in hand.
The XT Pro has almost all the features of a Nox 700 “minus” Multi-IQ, 4kHz, iron bias, and supplied wireless headphones. It also has a different cam lock shaft functionality. 👍🏼👍🏼 A great entry-level machine for the price ($430 less than the 700)!!
@@nigelb5341 The differences, although few are actually big differences (performance wise) when it comes to detecting in trash/iron and more accurate target ID’s on deeper targets…..if you’re looking for increased performance, then get the 700 over the Xterra Pro for the extra $430 or so…..or get the 900 with a few more expanded internal settings, gold operation mode, and an included 6” coil.
I asked the same question. They should be available at the same time for purchase. Lets hope because I have a feeling at $269 they are going to sell like crazy.
@@IffySignals interesting, if there new bluetooth LE Audio, how in Equinox 700/900 and Manticore, maybe you seen EarFun Air Pro 3, can they connect (or other with bt le audio) or need only original Minelab headphones?
Hi, can you tell me if it's possible to connect third party BT headphones with the X-Terra Pro? I know that ML is using a different BT standard now. I think this is also a question for Equinox 700 /900 and Manticore owners.
@@IffySignals I was wondering if the module that I got with my Equinox 700 will work with my X-Terra Pro? I also was wondering which of the wireless headphone work the best on the x-Terra pro, the 85's or the 105's ?
Hi, the 700/900/Xterra and Manticore will all work with the new wm09 module. I prefer the 85’s just because they are a bit smaller and seem to cup my ears better.
Honestly can't see minelab with a need for the vanquish line anymore. Where does it fit? The xtp does the beach like the vanquish series with the availability to change back to single frequency. If I'm looking at a vanquish right now which is not totally waterproof and then looking at the Xterra it's an easy choice.
Hey Steve, the Xterra is only single freq and the Vanquish is only multi, the Vanquish will out perform the Xterra is most situations. But i agree I would go with the Xterra for the beach as well. If I was only relic hunting i would go with the Vanquish 540 and 10” coil.
@@IffySignals to be honest, I'm not totally convinced the Xterra Beach mode is single-frequency. They'll tell you till they're blue in the face it's single-frequency because they don't want to alienate their higher-end multi-frequency users for the price of the Xterra because it hits gold
As well as any multi frequency machine I've seen. I think your next test should be the 540 with a 10 inch coil against the Xterra in the test bed, depth and separation test and may the best man win. I don't think the 540 will win.
@@IffySignals This is disappointing. I just bought a X Terra. I thought it would work with my bluetooth headphones. Some of sellers descriptions are misleading- quote "Per the Minelab standard, the audio output will be low latency audio (meaning fast) on the built-in speaker, wired headphones or you can connect with Bluetooth to optional wireless headphone or other Bluetooth devices." I like the machine, but don't want another set of headphones. Your videos on the X Terra are great!
Yea, really all depends on if you want to hear the iron, or just silent search. i like hearing the iron so i can tell where the hot spots are on a site. I keep it a low whisper but can tell its there.
Not really as they have 3 new awesome machines coming out and cheap is an understatement lol i have ordered this and the 3 simplex on pre orders but for the money you cant go wrong really, colour is bloody awful on this but hey what do we wont for less than 300 bucks lol
A good machine and under $300. You testing new BCs or old rusty ones? If you always struggle with BCs you might want to go up to a multi with a BC reject function. I have not messed with many that can handle the newer BCs without a reject function. Maybe some of the old Tesoros. Not sure.
Its okay for 300 quid just ordered, but with the 3 new simplex coming out i still dont think it has much chance against those but still its cheap and cheerful, looks half decent and does the job so really cant complain tbh
I found this video the most helpful navigating my new X-terra pro. I've probably watched this at least 4 times. Thank you!
Thank Doug 👍 Glad it helped.
Another excellent, helpful video. Thank you for explaining the features so clearly.

Simplex is going to have a problem. Wish they did this to the Vanquish, too. A waterproof Vanquish would be awesome.
This definitively has more audio features, recovery speeds and selectable frequencies.
Great video!.....Do you know if there will be a Pro pack available for the X Terra Pro with extra coils etc?
Hey Jay, thank you. Not sure if they will be offering that.
Probably the Best back up detector ever made.
Agree Tom
Thanks for all the information and vid.
Welcome Fred
I've been using a Nox 600 since it came out and have wrecked shop with it. This seems like the ultimate back up machine
Nice Phil! Honestly the 600/700 have all i would need. If i lived out west and gold hunted i would probably want the gold modes.
Iffy would you say the overall depth is comparable to the 600 or 700 after adjusting things
Depends on the target, 600/700 will be better for low conductors because of the higher frequency range.
Is it possible to pair a atmax Garrett wireless headphone with a xterra pro?
Only if you also have the wireless module. The headphones will not link up to anything other than Zlink.
So , just so I understand, I can use wired headphones with the X-terra pro?
Yes
Thanks Mike! My one concern is headphone availability for this unit. Any ideas on that?
