the first release of this kit did include the sharkmouth option, which was how I built mine, i also have a couple of original tool airfix Bf 110's that have a tooling date of 1958!

I've got one Airfix kit left, a Bf109G, up I just picked up an Eduard's Bf 109F-4, so we'll do a little comparison.

Thanks! I got the "tropical" version of this kit, seems to be pretty much the same kit (wonder why they do that?). I'm about halfway through assembly, hand masking the canopy at the moment (woe is me 😅). I don't like the exhaust like that as I usually paint it separate and attach it after painting the main colors for the fuselage, oh well. I think I will do mine in the N. Africa camo scheme since I already have the sky blue bottom, dark grey/green camo pattern already on my Bf109 and Fw190. Diorama base looks good! I have yet to do one for aircraft but love doing armor dioramas.

There are some fantastic North African paint schemes! The problem with painting the exhaust before assembling is that they are captured with the engine nacelles. If you can, hand painting them is too bad, but you could mask them.
      Good luck!

@@twitch1965 yeah I'll just mask them and hand paint after. Looking forward to more videos!
