Phillip - as a Nordhavn 47 owner, I can't imaging how you handled the little Nordie without stabilization. The only word I have is "RESPECT" for such trip. You and your crew are awesome.
Congratulations Phillipe, a special acknowledgement to his wife.. You accomplished an amazing feat. Care giving is the hardest work and is selfless. The adventure and terror of the sea only amplifies those challenges. Cheers to you and the crew...
I've worked 40ft line fishing trawlers, I commend you it's enough working under no extra stability and here you demonstrate such determination and overcome such physical restrictions, sir you have my admiration o7 .
My heart dropped after the paravane was caught in the prop and it looked like he was going to fall over climbing into the bridge. What a moving story!!! Way to make it happen.
Awesome to captain your own ship across the Atlantic given the personal challenges faced. Awesome under any circumstances. Also awesome to gather the crew that had faith in their captain to do such a journey. Absolutely scary to have the mast snap halfway across and have to stop the engine and be at the mercy of the seas until they were calm enough to fix the problem. Can't even start up the wing engine as it would face the same problem. Great effort from the whole team. I think fin stabilizers would be so much better...but can you even fit them to a Nordhavn 40? Is there the room to do it? Beautiful outcome and so happy for Phillippe and his crew.
Looks like that captains seat was really missed in the pilothouse this time. Phillipe could have really used that chair, instead of making the struggle to get back to the couch whenever he has to do anything with the wheel or controls. I'd want that chair there and I'm not even disabled.

RESPECT, a single word - but with a lot of meaning.

Well done. Thank you for this very inspiring story.
Outstanding
What a sensational story! Would love to hear more about the trip, with so many people on a small ship
The most interesting thing could be all those people using the single head in the 40.
Philippe and Nordhavn yachts are built from the same materials. Bravo 👏🏽 Zulu!
Bravo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
well that was a fun video to watch
You are a top man ,good luck for the future
Well done,great story
I worked on a trawler 48 years ago with paravane stabilizers ,, I don't understand how Nordhavn developed their complicated system
Great video,
God speed sir💪
Awesome story
Hello from Canada!! I have Spino Cerebellar Ataxia and am inspired by your journey...thanks so much for sharing...you are an inspiration! :)
Good for Phillipe!
Good job
Why no stabilizers??
The stabilizers are the fish or birds they called them, thats what got fouled in the prop. They are more reliable and cheaper than active type
Philippe Guglielmetti "WHAT A GUY" In a 40ft Nordhavn in a wheelchair crossing the Atlantic without a mast, without stabilizers well done.

Cool
A great little ship in my opinion far superior to the new 41 looks better.😂
