This is an excellent tutorial. You went slowly enough so that I could easily see what you were doing. You calmly explained everything too. My pattern called for an afterthought thumb and it was filling me with anxiety. I think I can do it now. Thank you!
@@yarncakestitches To be honest it was the most plain and simple video on the matter on youtube and i learned alot from it. No extra nonsens and a clear yarn so i could se what the heck is goin on. Thank you again.
Great tutorial! I think to avoid the stitches turning, you should pickup the top stitches without turning it upside down. If you do turn it upside down, then pick up the stitches on left side of stitch, instead of right side because, technically, it would be the right side of the stitch when turned right side up. Does that make sense? That is my thought. I love the way you moved the yellow scrap yarn to the left needle and started knitting over it...simple. I've seen other tutorials where they dragged the working yarn across to skip over the scrap yarn, which created a hanging loop of yarn...messy. Definitely using your method! Thanks❣
It’s only easy after much practice. I don’t think I could do it without watching my reminder video now for sure. It’s been so long since I’ve made mittens and used this technique. Give your pattern a go with purl rows and see how it goes. Wishing you the best of luck on your finished thumb 👍🏽
excellent tutorial......no fluffy words or excessive talking. thank you!

Thank you and thank you for taking time out to watch. 🤗
This looks easy, but my pattern tells me to do the thumb within 2 purl rows 😢
