I think a lot of the problem with this season was, it outsourced epilogues. As I mentioned in a prior comment, the Scifi website at the time had TONS of in-universe stuff, from Chriton's diaries in Farscape detailing the ship, and even asking questions about their adventures, the audio journals of Darien Fawkes that we're told he's keeping(also in transcript format for those with slower connections) in Invisible Man, and some of the prophecies and reports from First Wave series guiding the protagonists there, these three being the first Scifi originals. As such, these feel a lot more disconnected without them, as some of Chriton's diaries drew connections, or just gave small insights into the day to day on Moya, like his attempts to explore the ship(which is why some scenes see him just wandering, he's literally just looking around), as well as his discussions with others on their pasts, which is why sometimes he'll know a weird fact about them that had never come up before. Also, it's weird, I remember this episode mostly for Chriton stepping on the thing in the final loop. It just seemed dickish to me...and it still does. I know WHY he does, it, but still.
Breaking the mask the way he does shows that he's determined to end the loop this time, and he's doing it by any means necessary because he's running out of time. But yeah, it was a dick move too, and that shows on Zhaan's face.
Even though the other episodes were solid, this got to the heart of why I love Sci-fi. On the whole, I love time loop episodes. Not that this show isn't unique in that, but I like how actors in prosthetics playing an alien race can use physicality and behavioural tics to give characters presence. I love how Chrichton just resigns himself into just breaking the mask. At the time I was the only sci-fi fan in the house so it wasn't an issue. Sci-fi and skimpy outfits has been tradition since the 50's. The clip that you showed felt rather graphic for family viewing and not merely ambiguous.
Hard to argue your ongoing assessment. Season 1 was episodic weird shit of the week. While it fits the fish out of water thing they're aiming for, you could also forget the larger threat of the peacekeepers if you skip the opening theme.
To me, the future flashes always seemed like a time loop instead of visions. This is also the first really memorable episode, with the mask breaking being one of the most memorable moments, and the NOT shooting the ship being part of the solution. These episodes aren't great, but they are also fun and build character. They make a good foundation for later events, and the really strong seasons 2 and 3, and the finale.
Thank you so much for this amazing video! Just a quick off-topic question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
"the dude who seems to be in charge says that their cargo is scientific equipment for studying deep space gravitational fluctuations... for the lols" I don't get why people feel the need to insert a lie and call it a joke I get it, it *could* be funny if he was playing around with a block hole just for laughs.. but he's not, so it isn't funny to say that he is, it's just not true.
Chuck is emphasizing that _everybody_ sees through their transparent non-excuse. Nobody believes they're in it for the lols, and nobody believes they're out there doing basic science, either. It's not a joke so much as emphasizing that they would have been believed no less if they'd actually said it was for the lols.

As crypto bot posts go, this is a new one.
