To be honest i think its not a bad change, resident evil 1 he has an american accent & they switched it from 4 onwards. As long as the mannerisms & calm & intimidating demeanor are more important.

Look like from dbd. Re5 engine is very old, porting that coat (working and looking good) to RE engine would be a nightmare without some serious skill.
