Very good advice, you can always get a second job at a hotel as well. Because flight crew schedules come out so far in advance, it makes it easier for hotels to schedule you on your days off. Hilton employee rates are $40/NT and Marriott employee rates are $50-$60/nt. And it is not on standby either. You’ll also get 20% off food and non-alcohol drinks as well.
Great tips from an awesome FA. When I commuted, I found it really helpful to have duplicates and triplicates of certain items (chargers, toiletries, etc) at home, in my bag, and at my crashpad. It made the commuting process so much easier.
These are really great tips! I’ll be sharing this video with people when they ask me questions about commuting because, I get them often. Basically use all options and have a back up for the back. Thank you for the shoutout! 💜
Thank you for your content, I just got my CJO with a mainline airline I’m so excited worried about where I might be based and its affordability. I don’t really want to commute especially on probation, I wouldn’t want to lose my job because I couldn’t get to work on time because there was a delay on a plane or it was full of passengers.
thank you so much to all your advice and tips I received already for the interview and assessment from the airline that i can apply. And i really I appreciate co'z i watching your video i had a lot of hopeful and learn from you.god bless u.
I got my cjo 💜 I want jfk soooo bad but I’m in atl, I’m watching this to see if it’s doable because more FAs have said NO don’t do it during the probation
I commute from RSW to DTW. I got a crashpad. I fly in the day before I work because like you said, they can drop you for the slightest issue on probation.
Very informative video! Is there a crew shuttle that runs between JFK and LGA? Also, who do we need to talk to for your airline to start flying to TnT?! LOL
They can. From my understanding on your schedule it will say you're on schedule for say Monday- Thursday. They expect you to be within 2 hours of the airport on Monday since that's the airport you work for.

I have a tip.....don't commute! Years ago you were required to live within 2 hrs of your domicile. I always loved it when commuting F/A's wanted to jump in front of the other crew members in the Customs/Immigration line who just busted their rears working a long international flight and these people who CHOOSE to commute thought nothing of inconveniencing their fellow crewmembers who also want to get home albeit driving ......For those of You who don't commute just say NO!

Thank you 😊. That’s so smart . I need to start getting doubles of my chargers so I don’t have to keep switching them out.

Do you pay for this crash pad monthly?
Thank you for this!🤗 I know I'll be a commuter one day, and I'm waiting for August 30th!
Crash pad video would be helpful
My question is if I am a commuter when do I go back home? Like not back to base but home if you live in a different state.
Great vlog, thanks for the tips! How long after your training did you start ‘working’? Also, how long was your probation period? Thank you!
Thanks so much for all the tips!
Thank you!

No there isn’t a crew shuttle. Lol I wish I know !
Great video. Thank you for the tips!
Are you still open to doing a crashpad video?
Oh wow, didn’t know you were Trini descent 🇹🇹, I’m Bajan!
If your commuting by plane, are you paying the airfare or its free? You seat on a jumpseat
Do they call the day of and expect you to be at base the same day? That’s one thing I’m concerned about

Would you mind sharing which mask brackets you use?
Just linked it in the description box.
I trust your opinion, thank you!! 🙏🏾
So when you have to fly from your home to your home base airport, do your airline pay for your flight?
Do you have any information on commuting from another country to your base in the the states?
Unfortunately I don’t. I have no experience with that, but I do believe StaffTraveler works for international flights.

lmao you said pre panorama
are new hires able to request their ideal base(s) upon completing training?
The airline typically provides the available base options (if any) you then put in your preference and its awarded by seniority order.
Paying rent + hotel rooms? Wtf
