  • The Behringer Eurodesk MX 9000 is a 48-track, 8-bus analog mixing board from the early 2000s. This is the main recording console at Dark Highway Recording, since it is only used for monitor mixing. This is a part 2 - a further explanation of some of the problems that we've had with this mixing board.

What is your favorite 24-track analog mixing board?

've had to repair all of them. I have an MX8000 and it looks identical to the 9000 except for the layout of the VU meters. Mine also has some blown preamps and a couple of sliders on the outputs that don't close when set to zero. But apart from these small defects, it has always worked, for over 30 years now.
However, I use these devices just for fun, I wouldn't use them in a professional environment.

I had an MX8000 back in the old 8-Bus/ADAT days. It was god awful.

I use to joke that they used recycled soda cans for solder😂
