Ok bit of a mistake with the Rock Pikmin part. On the initial charge, Rock Pikmin deal only 10 damage. With their subsequent lunges, they then do 20 damage per hit. Still really bad damage. Also Rock Pikmin are only great for shredding Crystal Walls with their initial charge hits, as their subsequent lunges will then deal less damage.
Just to let you know, Pikmin 3 Deluxe came out! And in that one, you need 10 throws to do the throwing tutorial with Charlie! Also, I thought of a solution for the throws for Brittany and red pikmin! If you end the day, you skip that tutorial! Also, you could have did Rock pikmin and Brittany for day 2 and the path to the 1st boss on day 3, just to save time for restarting a lot!

This was intertaning to watch, but I understand if the possible difficulty would cause you to not make these type of videos often, which I understand. Other then that, keep up the good work!

Not sure why, sometimes I get motivated to do something, then I lose it as I get started. But I do plan to follow-up this video at some point- a lot of throws have been saved!
We can't charge it, only throw. With its attack, when it slurps Pikmin up, it shakes them all off, so you can't throw them on during the attack. The best strategy is to constantly circle it so it never moves or attacks, but I could see throwing Pikmin on and starting to circle it right after the full attack is complete working in dealing a bit of extra damage. Either that or it shakes off sooner.
Can you beat Pikmin 3 while only using one type of Pikmin at a time? What I mean by that is only using one type of Pikmin while being able to swap what Pikmin your using at any time. But you HAVE to use one at a time for example you can use red Pikmin at a max of 100 but if want to use say winged Pikmin you have to deposit all your red Pikmin and switch to winged Pikmin.
I actually did that a while ago, but with a few extra rules 1: I only allowed 1 active pikmin type per day 2: after an active pikmin type was used in an area I wasn’t allowed to use them again in that area I should note that in order for a pikmin type to be “active” I had to either call one of the type from the onion or pluck it from the ground. This is because obviously I need red pikmin to save rock pikmin.
I never knew that, huh. I wonder if it's more or less effective in 3 Deluxe due to the different Rock Pikmin physics... Either way, the fight was already done in 0 throws.
@@Pikmanfan2002 I do also think you can charge blues at the water sphere and the reds at the fire element. I have not done it though. You should try it.
You actually can skip the lightbulb in the distant tundra. In Pikmin 3 deluxe speedruns, they go out of bounds and skip straight to the vehemoth phosbat without ever having to go through the cave. I assume this also works in the original Pikmin 3.
Yeah, I've learned about that since this video. I'm planning on making a part 2 to this at some point where I collect every fruit as well as provide a few other updates; throw saves have also been found in Garden of Hope and Twilight River.

The part of the Medusal Slurker on the ground is its attack. Pikmin touching its stomach sack thing will just be consumed, and charging into it will just send them straight into it. When they touch it, they instantly lose the ability to do anything until they're out.
