Everytime I see him fight one he utterly kicks its butt and loses no Pikmin.
And in Pikmin 3, from what I've seen, they're as much of a threat to the player as a Wollywog is to a Rock Pikmin.
Fighting them isn’t hard, but they are super-sensitive to movement and you’ll always be fighting them when you didn’t want to.
