I agree with all and with Jack. When remodeling, bought new door knobs, door hinges, light switches and light plugs. What a difference a small amount per room can make.

I love Behr’s Studio Clay. It’s made my home feel like a serene Mediterranean villa. Also painted my daughter’s room in Coffee with Cream which is a pinky taupe. So pretty for a girls room and doesn’t read aggressively pink.

Great tips and props to Jack about changing the hardware... it's the little things you things you think no one will notice that can POP and take your design change feel complete and connected.
Love that you mentioned the light switches and other hardware finishes - I've changed all of that in every room I've reached renovations in, and SUCH a game changer! My go-to is the legrande "radiant" collection. Very affordable yet very polished!

Our house was diarrhea brown, green, and mustard yellow. We painted Swiss coffee and made our fireplace wall caviar and updated lights and OMG our house is now worth like 75k more than when we bought it
I just love your channel Valentina! I have a neutral gray couch and the pillows and throw were looking a little dated. So I ordered four boucle pillows from Amazon and a faux mohair throw from Pottery Barn. I absolutely love the boucle fabric on the pillows, such a good quality for the price. Haven't received the throw yet but am excited to get it. 🦓🦓🦓
I love painting my walls white. I add color with artwork. My daughters always say how 'boring' it is, but I love a clean white backdrop.
They're grown and have their own houses now, so they can paint all the color they want.😉
I painted my living room Behr Swiss Coffee (an off white) and love it! My sofa is nearly white and it’s so peaceful. Of course, I painted my fireplace dark gray like yours!
yuk, that color turns yellow in a south facing rooom/.
We recently painted our small, north-facing family room Behr Swiss Coffee, too! We also bought a new off-white sectional and re-tiled our fireplace surround with black herringbone tile. I love it so much and the deep rust accents in the room really pop. (We also painted a south-facing loft with the same color and, yeah it reads a bit warmer, but I Iove it in that room, too.) Swiss Coffee will probably continue to spread around our home. 🥰
@@marinasolt6232 They recommend warm grays as accent color but rust sounds good too. Sometimes depending on the light the Swiss Coffee looks like a light gray sort of like marble, other times it looks dingy yellow.
I ordered two black boucle pillows and one of the zebra ones from cb2, love the non feather inserts!! I also ordered the black and white zebra ones from H&M, I'm a pillow hoarder...lol

I love the Buster and Punch hardware!!!Home Depot has some that’s close but not enough of a match for me. I found some on Etsy that’s a better match for the BP gnarled pulls like V has and am still debating if they’ll work for the lower doors of a bookshelf I recently painted in Limousine Leather. 😇😇
I ordered one of the jacquard ones to see how I like it. It almost looks like an animal print if you dong look to close. Apparently somebody (Valentina) bought all of the brown zebra ones.
I simple love your videos! I’m always watching! I have recently painted a wall in my dinning room black which I know some people advise against but I absolutely love it! The rest of my house is a neutral gray however, I have been thinking up updating . I have been on French about the SW Greek villa and bright white. Which would do you think would accompany the black wall better?

Light paint colors and Jack is so right handles certainly make a difference. On my channel Im sharing what it was like buying, renovating and self managing a 250 year old property. For paint I went with Benjamin Moore Swiss coffee so it’s a creamier white. But all my tenants love the fixtures the most. For example the handles on the kitchen is matte black and it elevates the space so much
Great tips Valentina, What do you recommend for smaller pillow inserts?
BOHEMIAN LACE is good in every space and every time you need a white that’s not too blue or yellow (pulls slightly yellow but not a ton. It’s just to warm it up). It’s better than Greek Villa by just a smidge. 😊❤

Even in cheap rentals, I replace all the outlet and switch covers (almost always dirty/paint spattered); also kitchen and bathroom knobs. Usually under$30 but feels so much fresher. Next step is replacing ceiling lights, a really quick upgrade. Then I don’t have to live with ugly lights.
I want to change out all hinges and knobs for my entire house. Should I use black or a brushed nickel color?

What can I put on the bedroom ceiling that looks stylish? A fan or the modern lamps that function like fans. Very hot in Spain. Thank you Valentina
In Spain I would put a fan with lights. Just make sure is the right size for your room. I'm in Florida and a fans are a must to reduce the A/C bill. Many interior designers from up North hate ceiling fans but that isn't environmentally conscious or realistic. Fans will look beautiful and chic if you pick the right ones. It has to be cohesive with your decor. It depends on your decoration and the materials of the other lights in your house.
I love my modern light that is also a fan. You can't see the fan blades, but it is really powerful and does a great job of cooling down my bedroom. I bought it at Home Depot and really happy with it.
