He comes home from work, takes off the slacks and puts the belt with holes away. Eventually, later that evening he clicks on TH-cam and just happens to watch THIS video...OH SNAP! Years of old belt knowledge has been tossed; time to place an order and get ultra-fresh!! Thanks for keeping me a step ahead of the masses yet again OG!
Most people confuse quality and grade. Grade is how good something is. Quality is how close is the product to the specifications as specified by the MFG. For several years I have used Mission Belts. When I first purchased mine, I was so impressed I ordered several as gifts. Later I realized that the grade (not quality) of the leather used by Mission Belts is a low grade. All of the belts I had purchased the leather started to crack within 2 years. After watching your video and reading several of the comments, I purchased 4 Kore belts. Much thanks for the great video!
Ratchet belts FTW!!!! I have a black and a tan Mission belt, had them for about 2 years now and I absolutely love them. I wear them all the time and they still look new.
Thanks Jeff ! I never liked the buckles on "ratchet styled" belts, but I noticed the Core belt offers one that actually looks like a conventional style belt! I stopped wearing a belt for the most part about 25 years ago when I started having my suits and pants tailored.
So I've been wearing the same Kore belt for 6 years straight. I bought mine back in June 2013 when they just launched the company on Kickstarter. It's the Evolve stainless buckle and black full-grain leather belt and I've been wearing it ever since. Never looked back. The belt finally began looking worn out so I ordered a new leather belt a couple of week's ago but kept my original buckle cause it still works good and looks great. But man... that original belt really held up with a lot of abuse! Seriously, I can't recommend Kore highly enough!
I just got a second Kore belt, I had to have one in brown. First one I got in black and have worn it for two years now and would have to say it's the best belt I have ever had. It looks like it did the first day I put it on and I love all the adjustment it has. Get one you won't regret it.
@@AlphaMacho I’m wearing one today. They have served me well. Seem to be hiking up. They don’t get the wrinkly creasy look. Still look clean and neat. Easy to switch buckles and straps. Can replace straps if you lose or gain weight. No regrets buying them.
I recently dropped my Slide belt and broke the buckle. I decided to replace it with a Kore essentials combo of one buckle and two belts, and I am glad I did. The Kore buckle is made of higher quality metal, and the belt does not detach from the buckle while putting on the belt as the slide belt did.
I have Kore belts in black and gray. Belts are full grain and buckles real solid stainless steel. I've owned a few of these other belts and I agree with you the Kore are definitely the best in my opinion.
I bought a CLASSIC 1.38 kore essentials does have a better buckle than the Anson belt I have one 1.5 anson belt and the kore essentials belt feels better . So I prefer the kore essentials a lot better
Got a Kore mens dress belt and really loved it. Not going back to traditional belts with holes. The adjustment is so precise to your liking. The quality is superb and seems like it will last for a long time.
Interesting. Props to Kore for a) being stateside, b) focusing on 1 group and doing it well vs many groups and doing them mediocre. I'll have to check 'em out.
After purchasing and wearing a ratchet belt for a few months now, I can't see myself going back to a traditional belt. The fit is amazingly precise and the buckle doesn't damage the belt. Peace O.G
Kore makes the perfect belt for me. Very very comfortable. Unlike any other belt I've ever used or owned. I tried one out first, loved it so much I bought 3 more. Now I have 2 casual (black and brown), and 2 dress (black and brown). I've thrown away (aka recycled) all my old belts now!!
Over the past year I purchased five Kore belts....two leather gun belts in black and tan, a black tactical nylon, one regular in black and the tan nylon tactical belt. They are nearly indestructible and I really like their infinite adjustability.
Nice and informative video. I will add a couple of points. First, the Kore Essentials belts, or at least mine, are designed with a polymer core to serve as holster belts. Secondly, SlideBelts now offers a "survival belt" with a tough synthetic strap and tool-laden buckle. You can also mate the "survival strap" with their regular "wide buckle", which is what I did. This is my all time favorite belt, so much so that I got all four strap colors. Though they are not marketed as holster belts, I use them that way and so far they hold up. The teeth are molded into the entire length of the strap. I agree with the video publisher that the SlideBelt buckles are the slickest of all.
I use Kore now. I had been using an Anson belt for the past 2 years and loved that belt but it fell short in one area: after about 6 months the buckle would fall off due to the teeth not being aggressive enough to dig into the leather. Kore's design is much better, the teeth are much more aggressive...once you snap it shut, it really digs into the leather to become one. I think that it will hold up for at least 5 year or longer.
Thats the failure point on most of these belts. Especially if you are a bigger person. Why not put screws threw the whole thing instead of that bite grip thing
I think you NEED to also have a high quality, black leather belt with classic buckle in polished steel, to go with the business suit! It looks more elegant/classy imho (52y, married wk, exec). Btw, you hardly find ratchet belts, here in Europe! Love the vids, “still” learned a lot and appreciate the straight, confident, convincing and unjudging presentation! Best from Berlin
Good video. I've been an Anson fan/customer for several years now. I have some exotic skin traditional belts & honestly I haven't worn them nor any other belts ever since purchasing my Anson belts. Those other options are cool but Anson is #1 period; quality, options & customer service.
Great video. Really appreciate the detailed walk through of the brands. Well done. Currently, Kore has a set of 2 belts + 2 buckles for $100. Anson has a set of 3 belts + 2 buckles for $100. So, I'd say Kore was in the $50/each range and Anson is in the $33/each range. For $115, Anson has a kit of 3 belts and 3 buckles for 9 combinations. I don't own either Anson or Kore. Just pointing out that I don't think it's quite correct to position them as being equivalent on price, as this video did.
Seems Anson offers more options in Dress Belt Bukle. Although on the days that I carry I use a Kore. They offer leather belt I like to use with my compact and subcompact. When I open carry and use a full size gun I use their tactical line.
I now own 7 Kore belts. They are very well made belts and superior to the old holed belts I used to wear. I wish I found Kore belts years ago. I've had 2 of them for 2 years and they still look new. No wear on them yet!
I've purchased a number of belts in my years, but nothing as good as the ones I have from Kore Essentials. I have 2 of the leather belts and 2 interchangeable buckles, plus slick belt hanger and Love 'em all !
you all probably dont give a damn but does someone know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid lost my login password. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
@Elijah Tatum thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I love the kore essentials belts I've completely thrown out my closet and replace them all with some fashion and some gun belts form kore being able to adjust throughout the day is incredible it's one of those things will look at in the text books one day about how people used to wear belts with holes in them lol. Anyway the core essentials belt are incredible quality I give them to all my friends and family on birthdays and holidays one of my favorite uses is snowboarding I can loosen the belt for walking around but then tighten it when flying down the mountain
I just bought one of Kore's casual belts, so I look forward to trying it when it comes. The only thing I'm concerned about, which I should have thought of before buying it, is that there was no option to choose size. I know it's supposed to be one size fits all, so it may work fine, but I'm not sure if I'm going to have tons of extra belt. We'll see how it is when it comes.
I recommend Kore 1000 times over. Superior leather quality and awesome stainless buckle quality too! I will never use a regular “old” style belt again with holes!
Great vid! I almost with the Kore, but I just can’t get past the buckle. it just looks cheaper to me and don’t like the notch to make it look like a belt with holes. Had to go with Anson and they are really legit. Have 5 straps and 3 different buckles. They are great looking
I got my first kore belt when they were on Kickststarter a few years back and its stood the test of time. Leather and buckles still look nice today. They have a lot more cool buckle styles now so I got 2 more myself and one for my dad. My teenage nephew has the anson and a mission belt that my sister got him but the buckles not as good. It's a kids belt. The kore belts are made more for a man. Just my two cents
Once you buy one of these Kore track belts you will wind up buying 1 or 2 more. Genius design, amazing adjustibility, great quality and they hold up much better than traditional belts.
David must work for Kore cuz he copy/pastes this comment on every single video about belts on TH-cam. Sometimes as a reply to other comments where it doesn't even make sense or relate to the comment he is replying to. Kinda fishy
I tried ratchet belts and I'm not going back to normal belts. I also have a web belt for when I need an even lighter belt with even more adjustment. Thanks for the video!
Great video. Currently own a Slide belt and love it. Considering purchasing the Anson Gift box set and maybe a Kore belt. I like the Kore buckles. Do you know if the buckles, from the different brands, could be interchanged? For example-put a Kore buckle on a slide belt or vice versa. Thanks in advance.
I started rockin ratchet belts about a year ago...they're far superior to the belts with holes...never could find that sweet spot...too tight too loose, but never just right. With ratchet belts, the fit is right every time.
Another great video. I have been thinking about getting a Ratchet Belt for awhile now. I just haven't done it yet. Kind of leaning towards getting a Kore Essentials Belt. Out of the four Rachel Belt brands you reviewed in this video which brand do you prefer and recommend?
I’m off topic but I finally jumped on the New Republic short boot. Only $40 so I had to try it. I must say this is nice. I’m about to collect a few pairs.
I’ve replied to a couple unanswered questions on Anson review videos 😂 I don’t get impressed to easily but I’ve said 1 negative - the little latch for unlocking the belt isn’t the smoothest - probably by design so the belt doesn’t unlock on its own - that appears to be the only “negative” everything else I’m happy with. Feels and looks good quality and yeah - the fit. I’m a big dude and a large part of that is due to weight gain from medication. It’s not too uncommon for me to be 1 size in pants - fast (juice water dry whatever) for a couple few days and be a size smaller in just a couple days - the adjustable size of the belt is freaking amazing. I’ve just left a little bit extra length to allow for my issues basically - but I kinda was wanting to hate in it just because of the hype but it’s very good man
I like Slide Belts, BUT I've found that if I don't tuck my shirt in, it will eventually wear small holes in the shirt. I have some Anson belts, but I can't say whether they do the same, because I mostly wear the wide belts with jeans and my Anson belt is a dress belt.
Salute O.G! I aint no Cowboy but your honest review got me thinking, can you use different buckles with different belts? Always helps to match da steel & leather 2 leather 🤘🏼😎
Thanks for the video. Every high end belt I have ends up stretching a bit over time and I have to poke an extra hole. Could you do a video on suspenders?
I ordered an Anson belt off of Amazon and the buckle was broken upon arrival; I reached out to Anson’s support team and within 2 days I had a replacement. Great belt and even better customer service.
I like double gold prong belts for jeans and ratchet belts to dress up. My problem is most of slide ratchet belts are not real genuine leather. Every fake low quality belts out there claim they are genuine quality. Crazy...
OG is correct kore is best overall for men. I know because I do love ratchet belts and have all these brands hanging in the closet. My wife however likes her slidebelt cause is narrower and femine. kore does not make belts for women or kids.
Can always look on amazon for ratchet belts. Cheaper quality but also cheaper cost. May be a good option for your very first ratchet belt to see if u even like them.
What’s up Jeff! Appreciate your videos & what you do man. Truly helps tremendously. Can you make a video on shorts for the spring & what style to wear/how to wear? It would be much appreciated

Slide belt, only way to go,I have many, are you from Brooklyn?
Great video and I enjoyed it and have a blessed day
You as well Michael!
Thank you very much
Another fire video
Thanks Mystic!
yeah the Kore belts are indeed impressive when you get one in your hands.
Awesome vid and suggestions. Actually, I started wearing suspenders recently. Do you plan on making a suspender video in the near future?
on the agenda Ricky!
@@TheStyleOG Awesome to know! Thanks!
OG is correct kore is best overall for men. I know because I do love ratchet belts and have all these brands hanging in the closet. My wife however likes her slidebelt cause is narrower and femine. kore does not make belts for women or kids.
never thought of getting a ratchet belt until now.. salute

Are the straps and buckles from different brands compatible? Like if i want a kore strap but an anson buckle, would that work?
I'm also curious about this. I have several Anson straps and buckles but would love to branch out if they're interchangeable.
I’ll try them out and see..
@@TheStyleOG Let us know, O.G.!
“For my guys with over a 50 waist...” I’m pretty sure guys with over 50 aren’t wanting a style Channel
Wrong
Can always look on amazon for ratchet belts. Cheaper quality but also cheaper cost. May be a good option for your very first ratchet belt to see if u even like them.
When u searched how to get out of one cuz u got stuck in ur brothers belt. 👁👄👁
Bro, you almost lost me wearing that flannel shirt
Flannel is a classic!
Good selection OG! I have only heard of Anson. 👂
Thanks Ferdinand!
Thanks I'mma check some out
What’s up Jeff! Appreciate your videos & what you do man. Truly helps tremendously. Can you make a video on shorts for the spring & what style to wear/how to wear? It would be much appreciated
