Such a great way to get started before he’s strong enough for floor! Some babies really struggle with this. It happens especially when you wait too long to start. So important

Thank you sharing this video. Those are some great ways to do tummy time. I’m looking forward to trying them with my two month old baby boy! ❤

Tummy Time is actually a way to combat flattened skulls from being put to sleep on their backs. There are many ways to achieve this so if your baby hates laying on their tummy on a hard, flat surface, don’t force it.

All the videos I watched for tummy time were for older babies. This is great for my 2 months old. Thanks

I hated tummy time. All they did was screech into the carpet so I didn't bother with it after the first few times.. They are happy and healthy 33 and 35 year olds now, so I guess it was fine anyway.

These are great positions for getting newborns gas out as well. I do things like this every 1-3 hours and babies not as cranky or fussy because of gas.

Getbthe floor mirror... its in a soft boarded and colorful triangle.
The baby will respind to self movement, etc...
Plus its cute. You can also release the triangle and hang on the side of crib, couch... whatever.
The black, white, red one is great for eye tracking but the colorful ones are cute, too.

I also prop baby up on a pillow. I have a wedge-shaped boppy pillow for my pregnant belly while sleeping. It was the perfect size, shape, and firmness for tummy time. Or a neck pillow or something would also be good. Just anything to keep them from having their face buried in the carpet.

Tummy time is a cultural thing too. Its not a thing here unless your baby doesnt move or stuff. On the other hand they tell us to not sit the baby up as long as they are not able to do it by themselves. It puts pressure on their spine, makes them move less and they likelyhood of crawling decreases.
Always funny and interesting how different parts of the world raise kids

Everything she said is so sweet and warming. But tonight for the first time I saw a video on TH-cam that made me lose my mind I have four kids last two twins the title was how to work from home with a newborn. She laid the baby on his back and tied a different color balloon to each each an and each foot and had it right next to her. The balloon thing I left so hard I peed my pants.

Use a towel under his arms and lay him on his tummy on-top of a blanket.

This was super helpful! I’m literally doing tummy time with my two month old right now as I was scrolling and saw this. I placed him on his little mat and he absolutely started freaking out. He does way better when I lay him on my chest & recline back. But I’m definitely going to try the leg trick and also playing with toys are reading a book to him, thank you so much 😊❤

tummy time became popular in the 1980s and became recommended practice in the mid 90s, it’s defintely been a thing

No, it strengthens the neck and back. It's great for babies and necessary ❤
