  • Matthew never really knew if he wanted kids or not. But, once his daughter was born he knew he needed every second with her that he could possibly get. After an emergency c-section during the second trimester, he didn't know whether his daughter would survive. Or, whether he could survive if she didn't. What have you survived?

    Happy Father's Day. My dad would be 105 this year...he died in 1999. When I was born, they weren't sure I would make it. He went home alone the night of November 19th, 1947 thinking perhaps I would not be alive when he went back in the morning. sometime in the middle of the night he sat bolt upright and "knew" I was ok...and I was. He and I always had kind of a psychic bond. At the end of my first year of college, I was preparing for final exams and although I would be going home in just a few days, I had the urge to call my parents. My mother answered and told me she had taken my dad to the hospital when he started throwing up blood. He was going to be ok, but they weren't sure at first. She said they had not called me because they didn't want to stress me out during finals. I still feel him watching over me.

      Some people are as emotionally mature as toddlers and don't like it when stuff makes em cry

    • @kristinowens899
      @kristinowens899 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Doesn't mean they dislike the video, just the situation maybe?
      Sometimes I'll dislike if it's a very sad topic.
      It's hard "liking" a video where a child dies.
      That's my take on it anyway.

    I was born at 26 weeks (3 months premature). I was 2 pounds 12 ounces had a heart murmur (Irregular heartbeat), 3 brain bleeds that could've left me mentally disabled for life, a collapsed lung, 2 lung infections followed by two transfusions. I stayed in the hospital for almost 4 months and had to get blood taken every 4 hours and an IV changed once a week. I'm now almost done highschool with absolutely zero health problems. I still have scars on my hands from needles that were given. I'm lucky I'm alive and that I don't have any health problem.

    I had preeclampsia with my second child. It’s a very scary thing to go through. Thankfully my son was able to be kept in until 37 weeks. But it’s terrifying.

    This man is so incredibly strong, and no words can describe the pain he went through.
    In 2014 I was going to have another baby brother. Unfortunately, my mom got preeclampsia, and my brother was born just 26 weeks and 6 days into the pregnancy. He had to get lung surgery just 2 weeks after he was born, he had too much water in his lungs, and could not live without respirators and extremely strong steroids. Doctors kept telling us that he had a 10 percent chance of surviving, but I knew he had God and our prayers by his side. He turned 4 this February, and I still believe that God had something to do with his, and Reign's, survival. Bless this man and his family, forever.

    Why do I find this petty and melodramatic*

    • @redhammer92
      @redhammer92 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because its a dude being melodramatic about someone else almost dying. Honestly i dont care if he "survived" im just happy the one who was actually in danger of dying pulled through.

    • @destinyheath6583
      @destinyheath6583 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sawyer if you haven’t almost lost your child you don’t know how hard it is and how scary and sad it is. It’s hard and it’s emotionally draining. You’re physically exhausted and emotionally tapped out and unless you’ve been there you don’t know how hard it is.

    • @redhammer92
      @redhammer92 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ive lost immediate family members....how could anyone not know how sad that is? EVERYONE knows this stuff is hard thats exactly why this guy is being melodramatic. We all feel bad for him, meanwhile his kid is in the ground, no amount of pity will change that. He knows that, we know that.

    • @kalathewoyst2485
      @kalathewoyst2485 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sawyer his kid isn't dead. Did you watch the video? Did you even read the title? Lmao

    • @redhammer92
      @redhammer92 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You clearly didnt read my first post. Lmao. I was just making a point that at the end of the day the child is the survivor or the one who dies, not the father.
