I live in Brazil, and the price down of legendaries was a HUGE deal for the local comunity. In the start of this year, the price of good legendaries like Teklo Foundry Heart, or Flamescale Fournace for example was close to a minimum wage. The game in general got cheaper, and thanks to this, the brazilian comunity grew a lot this year
If Legendaries being cheaper has given access to other parts of the world then I'm willing to change my mind 👍 although I didn't want them crazy expensive in the first place
Yeah this is one huge point that tcg "investors" forget. What made MtG popular? Great gameplay and easy access to cards because of ice age. And Hasbro supported heavily standard. Draft/minimasters were casual way to waste money and 1st really good sealed honestly was 3x Onslaught.
If we go with Pirates I could imagine a "boarding" mechanic where it's like summons but reverse: You put minions on your opponent's play zone and they do some mayhem while active on the board (Think Frailty or Inertia). They can be attacked or last for some duration, but the opponent needs to make sure not too many pirates "board" their play zone or they'll end up scrubbing deck.
I think the best way would be to create just ONE product: Blitz+Classic to avoid confusion. Box could be divided by a page with a list of cards. The second part would contain cards that you add to blitz deck in order to create CC.

What absolutely love to see a class that plays with the graveyard. Maybe a 3 intellect hero who effectively extends their hand size by playing from the grave.
As far as heroes that are totally playable on release, I would much rather LSS play it safe with underpowering their heroes and then slowly building them up through the expansion slot. I know it's not nearly as exciting, but it helps avoid a Starvo situation.
Giving the Necromancer 3 intellect might actually be a cool way to balance it
I been home brewing necromancer Hero designs since July of 2023.
Been making a 100 card set with 2 necromancer heroes to be released for locals at the game store to play with casually.
I designed a demi hero that is lich like with 3 intelligence that both heroes can off shoot into to change their playstyles up. Your ideas here reminded me about this.
Eventually when the other artists I'm working with (one for frames, the other for color/art for cards, I design them and make the sketches of the art ideas to start),this set will make it's way to the internet with watermarks to lead back to our local game store.
I'm confident that I can make it before real necromancers enter the game, and also that what I designed is probably something very different than what will actually eventually be happening with the real thing.
Making corpse tokens, resurrecting them to risen dead allies... There is graveyard flavors..
I enjoyed the little lore book that came with the Classic Battles set. I want more lore based stuff released along side the main sets.
If we get a necromancer I want a shovel as a generic weapon in the same set.
Also: seeing as how FaB constantly reminds me of fighting games: a stance hero could be interesting. Maybe stances could be switched by meeting certain pitch requirements (for example: all blues -> full/perfect blocks deal damage to the attacking hero until next turn; all yellows -> your (first/weapon) attacks cost one less next turn; all red -> your (weapon) attacks deal +1 dmg next turn).
Almost sounds like a Samurai class the way I described it, but it could probably also work as a Ninja/Warrior hybrid or literally anything else if you can imagine different stances or different ways to switch between them.
If we ever see the Necromancer class, it has to be with its counterpart: Cleric. If they ever happen, my guesses would be in the future PvE product or in War of the Monarch (part 3) which is the last chapter in the story arc after Monarch and Dusk till Dawn.
Knowing LSS, those classes will have generic +1 value abilities.

I agree with the legendary wish because overall box breaking just feels bad in general and pulling a legendary that drops to bulk pricing just adds insult to injury
Yeah again, I don't want them to be crazy expensive, but I would like to see them be something super cool to pull again. When people are more excited for Majestic than most legendaries, it feels just...weird
Indeed I agree with them not being crazy expensive unless it is something like a Marvel or CF version but to pull a RF Legendary that does not even get close to a quarter of the box price just feels bad and and also only having like 1 or 2 majestics from the set that are good and the rest are bulk adds to the lack of excitement of cracking boxes/packs.@@Sloopdoop

Yes i totally agree with your wish-list and LSS should make Necromancer class . That 's something i also want to see this year and also I enjoy your content. Keep up the good content and i always get excited when i see a new video you make come out.
I would like a Harpoon Gun for Riptide, makes sense because he's a trap based ranger. Maybe the weapon could "trap" an opponent's top card of their deck or a random card from the opponents graveyard. Then the Riptide player has the option of playing the card or returning it back to the graveyard or top of the deck, like a catch and/or release mechanism. Or a Net style weapon which would "trap" an opponent's arsenal until their next turn. Oh yeah, and traps that are effective against Wizards.
I literally just got into FAB, and my first thought when I looked over the roster of classes was, "What? No necromancer?" I play MTG, and black is my favorite color. I adore graveyard-based recursion strategies and how you trade life/cards/creatures into huge plays. FAB is quickly earning a permanent spot in my heart--bridging the gap between my love of TCGs and fighting games. The only thing that's missing from FAB is my favorite MTG archetype.

Now that you mention Necromancer, I do wonder how they could differentiate it from being another kind of Illusionist, with the focus on creating a boardstate with Allies (which Dromai and the new Prism can already do). This is a little different, but I wonder if a Shadow Illusionist who makes Allies out of banished cards could fill that niche without needing a whole new class for it?

I don't think they should make legendaries cost more. Instead have alt arts/fancy cards for collectors. When the price to play the game costs more than just buying board game or a video game (sometimes multiple). Especially when their are great deck building board games that only cost 40-60$ it's hard to justify buying.
Hasn't James said they dont like graveyard interactions that much because there's not much to manage since just chucking things in the graveyard makes your deck stronger.
Also heroes from this year have been very meta relevant, like just dead wrong there. Even during Lexi meta Uzuri was still picking up wins and had to be respected, and without Lexi Boltyn is picking up steam and Levia from DtD.

Less extreme polarizing match ups. I main Arakni, and playing into current aura Prism is basically unwinnable; Dromai generally extremely tough, many peeps say the spid has about a 10% chance to win in the match up. Some match ups should ofc be favored / un favored, but such extreme polarizing match ups, where the general strategy is ' i hope to avoid matching into them', seems at odds with Fab been largely a competitive focused game.
honestly i think the only kind of hero that should ever be "playable on release" are **very** straightforward aggro/rushdown decks with very little complex deckbuilding or actual game decisions.
Decks should be somewhat hard to figure out how to brew and how to pilot at a good competency, so a deck that comes out in a set and tops a calling like 2 weeks after, likely wont be seen as healthy a month or two after that.
And if it is about decks being good like a month or two post release: Maxx, Dio and uzuri all did reasonably well so far in my opinion.

Completely agree on precons. Haven't read many other comments so hopefully this isn't a repeat, but for them to justify having CC precons they'd have to be in the $50-60 price range at least if we actually want them to offer a level of competitive viability at armories, otherwise their sealed product might take too much of a hit
I'd love to see a Necromancer class have aspects of Dredge and Flashback. Really working the graveyard into the mix.
Great points! Personally my wish is PVE to at least be mentioned. We've lost a lot of the collectors, and we've lost a lot (or never got) the casuals due to the complexity of the game, and I think PvE is the only way to bring back a lot of players. Plus a lot of solo or at home board gamers love to collect as well. If I was LSS, I would have pivoted a lot of resources to making this happen last year.
Oh and STOP MAKING ADULT HEROES MAJESTICS. It's awful and terrible and I have no earthly idea how they didn't get that feedback already.

Yeah. More scarse legendaries is stupid idea. LSS should point their finger to the Marvels as big buck cards and honestly 30$ is good price. Let Marvels be rare, beautiful and collectible.

I don't care about any of your top 5. I would like LSS to reduce their initial print release and follow up with a second or third wave later if it is needed, on rather than just flooding the market immediately and tanking the value of the product.

Not going to call you stupid because I'm not 12, but definitely disagree with increasing legendary pricing. All that does is incentivize the creation of busted cards that warp the game or making things artificially scarce. I'm all for ultra rare art and treatments for the whales, like what magic is doing with serialized cards and neon ink, but keep affordable copies in the wild for us broke people.

But being serious. CC decks with some Majestics (soecializations at least!!) should be already available for a long time. Even pokemon has them.

4. Story progressed heroes. By this I mean made adult version of currently only Blitz heroes. New Kassai is not "we made adult version of Kassai". It's a diff hero. New Kassai should NOT have a young version. Figure something out!
3. New casual format with different deckbuilding rules so random bulk are worth something for different people.

EV for Flesh and Blood is horrible it's why a month after release you can pick up a box for $65. I have access to Distribution pricing so $60 per box and even if I offer people at $60+Tax I still have trouble selling.
Plz change armory RF promo to smtg else or at least change to armory exclusive and not obtainable regular RF from booster box 🫠
