I don't think I've ever seen a person build an arrow this good. Absolutely perfect. I'm going to build a dozen just like this. I was having problems with way to light off an set up. Barely getting penitration. Using a 400 spine. Defintly going with the 300 spine. Thanks for all the tips travis. Great work

Man T-bone those Bushnell binoculars are the biggest ones iv ever seen. Heck there as big as the TV lol.. idk if they're real or not but they stuck out the whole video. Thanks for the video and information.
Have to say I love the way you explain the technical aspects. You clearly love archery and sharing your knowledge with other enthusiasts! Thank you for the video Mr. Turner!
Good arrow build. When installing inserts I like to use the low heat glue. The inserts can be rotated or removed with ease. Try removing the nock when pushing in the insert so the air pressure inside does not want to push the insert out. Acetone cleaner will discolor and eat-up the plastic nocks, so make sure you remove before cleaning. I have been doing this stuff for over 40 years and still enjoy learning something new.
Been watching bone collector since I was a small child haha. Love all you guys and what yall stand for! Excellent video and the best I've seen yet! Glad you're doing well Mr.turner hope to get a chance to meet yall someday!
New Hunter and guy that loves to build/tinker. I could not have asked for a more personable and enjoyable video about arrow building. This man is an absolute gem of a being. I am really excited about putting in sweat equity in the future and building a better appreciation for this lifestyle. Thank, seriously!
I’ve been watching you all since my senior year of high school when bone collector first aired and it’s always been great to see and learn anything about this wonderful addiction we all love. God bless you all and keep going strong. Ps. T-bone is the best
Absolutely love Archery and bow hunting! I’m extremely blessed to be a part of the Sirius Archery family and love shooting my 250 spine Apollo’s out of my Hoyt Ventum 30 (81lbs). Have shot them for few years as you have and can’t say anything bad about the company iv had really great success even after the original guys sold the company, they didn’t just sell it to the highest taker they sold it to an amazing man who has continued to build the company!
Thanks sir for a great video. I learned more about arrow building from this video then I have ever known, What caught me off guard was the delay from the shot to when your arrow hit. Almost seemed like a old recurve type response in the speed. Thanks again
I love watching a man doing what he loves and doing it well. Thanks T-bone. Only thing I do differently is color of the vane as a bama fan I can't have orange on my arrow
Hi t-bone love you too death, this is the first time I saw you in your archery shope. I have been watching you and Michael since y'all started in the early 90's . I have been now hunting since 1975 here in NC.
The first 15 seconds made me laugh, and got me to stick around for the whole video. Great explanation, attention to detail. You’ve sold me on building my own.
The one thing I do a little differently is when I use the squaring tool I like to use a silver sharpie on the end I’m squaring so that I can physically see and know for certain that it’s perfect. Every so often I’ll give it a few turns and still see a little silver on one side and it makes me thankful for that one little extra step. Also, love Ethics. Any company that will take a machine down off the line to make you a dozen specific things of one thing or another to keep you from waiting is a winner in my book. Bruce is awesome and a stand up guy.
Damn T-Bone I learned a lot from this tutorial. Gonna save and reference to this my next building, might even check out that arrow brand and equipment used...AZ Hunter here.
Awesome educational video!! I had to rewind and watch points over and over because I found them very helpful and interesting. Probably watched this video a total of five times today. I’m an avid hunter but bow hunting about 7 years. Keep up the great work T-bone. Your videos are easy to watch and learn for every level!
I have been making my own arrows for a year now, this video reassured me that I am doing it correctly. I will never buy a pre made arrow again. Sirius Arrows are the way to go. Thanks for the video.
Great informative video, thanks for sharing, Just built my first 2 dozen arrows, 1 doz each hunting compound and 11 doz for my recurve. Yet to test but hoping for the best outcome.
T-bone love the content brother. My little man and I love watching the entire Bone Collector crew. He is seven and is dying to get into the deer woods with me. Just wanted to say thank you for everything you guys do. I have learned a lot from you guys over the years and have become a better archer for it. Just wanted to drop a line from NC saying thank you. Wishing you and the Bone Collector crew safe travels and a bountiful upcoming hunting season. God Bless.
@@BoneCollectorTube TBONE if you had to start an archery shop again with limited funds what equipment etc bows arrows broadheads vanes or feathers releases and equipment to put everything together to start with or build your shop as you go. Thanks enjoy your videos jim
Enjoyed the video. Did it the way I used to, except I used a tip from Randy Ulmer to index. Float it in the bath tube. Guess now you figured out how old I am. LOL. But love to watch your all videos. Keep up coming and till the next one I view, be safe and enjoy the outdoors.
I love this video!! I am new to arrow building so watching Tbone build these arrows really helps me. I especially like the way everything is explained in great detail not only what Tbone is doing but why he is doing it this way. The tips given along the process are very helpful and appreciated. Thank You Tbone for sharing and making such a Great and helpful video. You are very much appreciated!!
Great arrow building video! Love tinkering and building arrows! Only thing I would add… you can glue a BB (for an air rifle) into the inside of your standard nock to up the weight to that of a lighted nock to keep things more consistent!
I’m gonna do exactly what you did with your arrows this year. Your a friggin genius T-bone 🥩. Your the man dude sorry to hear about your leg dude I’m a huge fan man.
Love that video! I'm using three vanes with same colour for exactly the same reasons. I prefer to screw in the broadhead into the insert first and align the blades with the vanes while gluing. In my opinion this result in a tad more precise arrow flight, especially with fixed blade broadheads. I like the Bohning 4" Impulse vane. I don't care if they marketing it as a recurve vane, low profile, quiet and sturdy.
Thank you! Just watched the full video with my 10 year old. We love your videos, we learn so much. Keep them coming, genuinely appreciate all that you all do!!!!
Great content t-bone, I been putting that rubberize glue on the ends of my fletch for 35 years now and good to see one of the greats been doing it also. It does make a difference in the life of the vanes if you have pass through shots on targets or animals. I like these types of videos would love to see more.
Wow.. This video simplified everything I was curious about with a new Bow and arrow build… I must say that you are naturally a great teacher.. Keep up the Superb work.

Wow I’m brand new at this never even held a bow that’s how new I am thanks for these videos I’m learning a ton thank you very much I was gonna get either the Apollo or the Gemini thanks 🙏🏽
Great video covering so many aspects of building a good hunting arrow. I agree and have utilized almost all of the techniques Tbone uses in the video. I have always preferred one color feathers or vanes, usually white so I can see them better. I was a bit surprised to see his preferred broadhead. Especially after he mentioned all the important data Dr Ed Ashby had produced. That broadhead is at odds with the Ashby information.
Great video. One of the most enjoyable things about my love for shooting bows and arrows is building my own arrows. Emphasis on FOC is indeed important. The FOC for my arrows depending on the bow I shoot is between 10 and 15 %. Now, I have an idea you might put on TH-cam. The differences in sighting and the Pros and Cons of Fixed vs Pendulum sights. I have shot a Truglo Pendulum for years and I am very confident in it up to about 35yds. I have even killed a coyote at about 60 steps just because I know my equipment and aimed a bit higher. I see you guys using fixed sights from elevated stands and reaching out a lot more than 35yds have wondered if there is a special setup for your equipment. Love watching you guys...
T-Bone I greatly appreciate You sharing all of Your attention to detail. I’m all about the care put into anything. This is my first bow and soon to be my first hunt. I’m dialing in everything I can to make sure as possible I cause as minimum suffering as possible to thethe critters that’s gonna bless my table. Thank You
I appreciate this. I like the way y’all do things in general. Love the new podcast too, a bone to pick. Good stuff to listen to on the road. I appreciate y’all :)
Very good information many thanks for the very very good subject matter you know with all the talk about arrow weight I have been shooting off and on since the mid 1980 I shoot 73 pounds 29.5 in draw 550 grains in my humble thinking it matters not to me if you chose to shoot toothpicks or fence post personal preference is you choice get your bow tuned to the best as you can and enjoy the outdoors and get a young person into the sport keep putting out the good information.
@@BoneCollectorTube I will take any knowledge from those who know their stuff every time I can thank you and good luck out there this season, Ron from Alberta Canada
It's awesome to hear more of talk especially on channels that have a bigger reach & audience. Glad to hear FOC talk but I would step that arrow weight up to at least 600 grains & wouldn't run a broadhead that wasn'tt less than 125 grains. heavier FIXED BLADE BH's = little bit wider cut on top of being much stronger structurally wise. I would NEVER run a mechanical BH. That's like taking 3 steps forward & 10 streps back.
I second everything you said, but no Fix blade will ever leave a bigger wound channel then a mechanical. These mechanicals are out here making 2 inch minimum wounds. An even then if you still play the FOC with a mechanical the arrow still blows through the animal. It just becomes a strength issue after that. Its only a matter of time before someone produces a good strong mechanical and brings themselves back into the game. As of now I believe Fixed is climbing its way back to the top now that everyone sees that heavier arrows are better then the light fast ones.
@@FullDrawOutdoors You don't need a bigger wound channel mechanicals mechanicals 9 times out of 10 don't hold up if they hit anything of any resistance. If you put that broadhead where it's supposed to be You don't need a 2" cut. All these fixed blades With the exception of 2 or 3 that have over an inch and a 1/2 cut are all an inch 16th inch an 3/8 And these broadheads have been taking down Cape Buffalo moose polar bear every large game animal on the planet including elephants. There is no mechanical on the planet that can hold up going through going through solid bone like a shoulder knuckle The rib cage on a wild boar Without folding up and crumbling. Whether it's a double bevel or single bevel fixed blade broadheads are the true and only way to go. Now granted if you put a mechanical which I've done myself in the boiler room behind the shoulder sir which isn't where all the vitals are you can and will kill. But on every game animal on the planet all the vitals are deep in the chest behind the shoulder blades the heart the main central point of the lungs. That's why people have actually lost animals on a double lung when they hit behind the shoulder high lungshots only have a few Air channels running through there. Mechanicals are easy and they do fly good but I could but it's a marketing gimmick for the most part and really are not truly Ethical for harvesting or harvesting large game. Yet no civilization on the planet has ever used Mechanical broadhead even today Aboriginal tribes around the world use big fixed blade broadheads. Because they always kill whether it's in Africa South America native Indians Aboriginal Australian It's been that way since the beginning of time.
@@inthemountainswithmeachum3256 idk why you wrote a book but I didn’t read any of that past you don’t need a 2” wound channel….nobody said you did. What I said was you’re statement is wrong, no fix blade is giving a bigger wound channel over a mechanical period…. That being said I shoot a double bevel. I’ve also shot mechanicals for years and never lost an animal due to mechanical failure….it’s all shot placement. A field point will kill an animal.

Glad to see y’all doing new vids again.
Really enjoy watching tbone at work
so much thought put into this, thanks for the great knowledge as I will take this and fly with it, best arrow build vid so far
Tbone has been doing this a LONG time. He knows his stuff and is happy to share.
@@BoneCollectorTube I will take any knowledge from those who know their stuff every time I can thank you and good luck out there this season, Ron from Alberta Canada
Thanks for the video T-Bone! A great video from one of the best to ever do it!
Very comprehensive video, thank you this really helped me out
Love your videos T-bone!! Can't wait till your healthy again and we get new content!!
Thank you for the Dr. Ashby shoutout
Great video all around but that fast forward noise you did at 38:11 sounded so real like that was crazy
@@FullDrawOutdoors I was just having a conversation with you dude but if you're going to take it there then Have at it
