My first rock band was Linkin Park. I heard some slipknot songs but it was too heavy for me, I didn't like that. I didn't like Metallica, or any other classic metal bands. Now I'm headbanging to Slipknot, Metallica, Arch Enemy, Slayer, also few black metal songs

I always though that metal is something bad and I shouldn't listen to it, while listening to many glam and classic rock bands. I remember that my mom decided to show me Sabaton when I was 9. I was terryfied, but not by the song - I was terryfied by my own reaction. I liked it a lot! And I was still thinking that metal is bad, so I decided to forget about this band. Than after years I discovered that almost every music my parents liked was rock or metal, and so were my fav songs 😂
My younger self used to think "Why would they make music that loud and noisy?" over some hard rock and metal songs I heard on the RADIO and TV. Lol. I still have my likes and dislikes but the ME now would never think a metal song loud and noisy.
Gonna cringe hard at this but. Transformers revenge of the fallen, off that album i heard Nickelback and Linkin Park. The beginning of my metal journey began there.

Bro gotta say you've really gone from sketchy at best to how your feelings would be towards metal to full on hard core fan. It's so awesome to see the transformation over the past couple of years. One thing that always pops up in my mind is a comment you made during a reaction that you could truly appreciate the talent and artistry that goes into metal. It's so much more than people think. Hey Alex you should react to purity, prosthetics, or scissors by slipknot. Those are the more creepy songs on their first album, scissors legit gives me the chills it’s so creepy, almost as creepy as Iowa.

Coming from someone who subscribed to your channel after you started your metal journey, it's kinda fitting that you started with a "Nu Metal" band like Slipknot. Growing up in Cali in the 90s I loved G-Funk and Gangsta Rap from that era so hearing Nu Metal like Linkin Park, Korn, Limp Bizkit and to an extent Slipknot helped me transition to the full fledged metal head I am today. Seems like you had a similar journey 🤘
