Did this to my 04 auto tsx. I personally didn’t like the sliver gear selector so I wanted to replace it with a boot to make things look more nicer. For anyone with an automatic transmission and wants to add a shift boot, it’s literally the same process as this video. Once I had my center console off I just added the boot over the sliver gear selector. FYI I did have to cut off 2-3 inches of the shift boot so it can properly fit. Once I did that I added the cables back for the seat warmers and popped the center console back and everything is fine:) good video!
Thanks for the video. I just got a TSX after driving old Integras for years and I thought it would be even more difficult to do this but it actually appears to be even simpler!
Oh man I’m glad I found your video I need to replace the light on my shifter column (my tsx is automatic) and I was trying to figure out how to pop the panel off and it looks like I’ll be able to get it done pretty easily.
After I did this, the cup holder cover and the center console lower cover keep getting stuck (don't open smoothly). Did I not put it back together enough? I've been punching the panel to try to get it back in place but it seems secure already. Not sure why the covers don't open and close smoothly anymore...
I'm hoping so, as I want to replace the boot on my 2009 TSX. Did you give it a try? The panel around the boot seems to be shorter and does not include the cup holder compartment. The plastic feels brittle so it's a little scary when you start pulling on it.

Tha is for the video! Helped me out a lot.
Hey how'd you attach the new shift boot to the plastic frame? I don't have any tools to restaple it.
Do you know if the seat warmers thingy have a light or is it a sensor? One of mine is off

It’s not because of that because my lower cover stopped locking shut out of no where and I ain’t touched the cars interior once :/
I was thinking about buying a 6-speed manual Acura TSX 2008... Any Engine or trans missions I have to be concerned about in general for this car? :)
Would this be the same for the 2nd gen tsx?
