- Today I wanted to walk you guys through my thought process when hiding farms within buildings. I loves this strategy, as it makes farms fun to use, adds lore to your world, and provides great inspiration for builds.

This is such an a great idea! It adds so much interest and really makes your world feel alive, like there's people working those farms. The money I would pay to live in the bee farm
This is absolutely insane. When I saw the cathedral my jaw literally dropped. Matching up the farms to fit your word's lore is such an ingenious idea, and not only that, all of this on a superflat world! Immense kudos to you, you deserve WAAAYYY more subs with stuff like this 👏👏
Completely agree with your take on buildings and their purpose, i build structures for my own use and then unique house for each villager.
Made a skyscraper to house a single villager but it looks like the pathfinding is not there, back to the drawing board. haha
It's so frustrating when you build a beautiful house for a villager and they ignore it to go run somewhere infested with zombies 😂 They have a death wish
I find it cool how even your blueprint sketches looks good. You truly deserve all the praise you get. 😁👍
I often strive for this as well. I disguise my classic-style mushroom farm as a silo most often. Not farm, but I keep my anvils and auto smelters in a dedicated forge. But I don't always get to a point in the game where I can make something as elegant as that tree farm.
I would really like to make a spider farm which is disguised as an old silk mill, however. I might be able to get away with combining a wool farm for a full textile mill.
I absolutely love the idea of a spider farm being a silk/textile mill! I hope it comes out awesome
I love how you directly called out Mumbo's industrial district lmao. I seem to recall him saying he liked the look of all that exposed redstone, but to me, for that to look good it's gotta be on a big scale and it's gotta be very compact and repetitive. And also not just be on bright wool blocks lol. I have considered what a redstone aesthetic might look like... kind of a redstonepunk, as opposed to steampunk, maybe... but haven't gotten very far in that idea yet.
Haha his is the best example I could think of. I think industrial districts are pretty cool honestly, I definitely don't hate them, but for my world it would totally break the lore to have a bunch of random floating contraptions, you know?
@@Mogswamp Oh, definitely. I'm only just starting to get into automated farms and into build lore and I definitely don't want, say, a floating blob of an iron farm in the distance that's visible from my house :P
Ive been trying to disguise my iron farm as a cool dungeon made with nether brick, red nether brick and netherrack with glow stone details. Vvvvvery cool. For now its just a concept in my test world. Have yet to build it but im so excited 😝😝 been gathering resources slowly but steadily

this is an idea I like a lot. I also find it can be hard to keep motivation for purely cosmetic builds, so having the farm as a base helps give it purpose.
I recently turned my floating creeper farm into a hot air balloon and it makes the farm so much more fun to use.

With my farms I started to cover them with Mini Skyscraper's but when the farms get to big its a real pain to make them.
Tell me about it. I built a massive hotel to cover up my mob farm and it took me like 100 hours. Still worth it 😂
the best thing is when the farm is like no redstone like a slanted wheat farm with waterlogged trapdoors
This is exactly the kind of content Minecraft was missing on TH-cam. I have many farms in my world but they all look pretty raw with the exposed redstone, but I'm not really a good builder and can rarely come up with good designs myself. I hope this video blows up so you make more farms and more designs. My personal favorite theme is futuristic sci-fi.
In your tavern, you can have a butcher and a farmer that sells food!

please.... fix that golf court looking surroundings. the inviroment is even more important for easttics than the buildings.
