I love watching this man. He is skilled at surviving in the wild, in most of these situations I would be dead by morning, but then I am just an old lady.
I'm 59, live in Idaho, close to several Rocky Mountain ranges that create my valley. I grew up hunting, fishing, camping. I like to think I would survive if caught in a situation where I was stranded. Sometimes on our back roads, there can a few days that go by before another car comes along.
My dad asked me one time, what I would do if I was stranded in my vehicle on one of those roads, and the car had died and wouldn't start.
My car...the cigarette lighter had got lost before I even bought the car...and I was too young to smoke/didn't smoke, so didn't have a lighter on me -- How would I start a fire to try to stay warm if it was really cold?
I told him I would gather the stuff I needed to start a fire, then get out my jumper cables, hook them to the battery, and touch the ends together to get some sparks..to start my fire. He was surprised that a 14 year old girl could think of something like that.
Yes, I had my own car, that I bought with money I had saved since the time I was 10. I worked my butt off with summer jobs and baby sitting, and in Idaho, a 14 year old could get a driver's license and I had one - my dad helped me buy it, he paid for 1/2. It was a beat up 1966 Pontiac Bonneville, total price $300 - the back seat looked like a big dog dug through it. :P But it was a car, it ran, and it was mine : )

I’m sure as a women you possess your own skills that this man does not have, don’t sound so negative about yourself. If you want to learn the skills this man shows here you can. Never say never. As long as you remain fit & healthy age is but a number.
@@sallybutton6237 -- yeah, watching some of these bush craft TH-camrs can teach a person a lot. And there are a lot of good bush craft TH-camrs out there.
I've watched the TH-camr, Joe Robinet for years now, his earlier videos often showed various ways to get a fire started, even if all you had was a shoestring and a stick to make a 'bow' out of - then use it to twirl/twist another stick to create a fire by pressing that stick onto a dry piece of wood with a bit of tender ready next to it as you spin it with the bow you made. .
Chances are, an older woman won't get stranded in the middle of some wilderness - but if something did happen, a hike that went wrong...at least an older woman, or anyone can have some basic knowledge in how to survive.
I love watching this guy go camping in different places. and have the skills to build housing Without the need for a lot of equipment, I'm 46 years old. and dreams of going camping Have a good heart and good health No matter what age we can do it, I believe so.

Your clothing must be wool and your ice water bath must help you deal with the cold. No gloves, no hat or coat. Love your videos even if they remind of how cold it is out side. please stay warm and be safe around iced over water.
