    You may want to add 2 more rear trencher connections to make a furrow. This way if you plant onions, beets, radishes, beans, etc. you can plant up to 3 separate rows for vegetables or lettuce. heck yea, if you need more weight, put a 48 qt icechest filled with beer and ice.

    • @papawsplace
      @papawsplace  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes Sir Mr. Wayne you could make 3 planting rows easy. Thats a good idea with the ice chest. LOL

    That's a pretty cool invention. Can I ask you one thing aren't you afraid by planting that close to the pecan trees isn't that going to be very acidic hickory pecan walnuts a lot of people found that they couldn't grow vegetables very well because it was very acidic you may have to get a soul test I hope it does very good I surely love watching people that can make stuff out of a cutting torch and a welding rod

      Thank you much for the comment, Mr. Raymond.
      Check out some of my garden videos in my Garden video playlist and I've had pretty good luck planting under them oak trees.
      This year the potatoes are looking the best so we will see what the outcome is later this summer.

      That's good I'm glad for you I bet that's going to be a beautiful garden the reason I was bringing that up because my sister had a lot of hickory trees in her yard and they couldn't figure out why their garden wasn't doing so good they never took a soul sample one day they did and they found out I was right

      Thank you, Mr. Adam, Is your tiller a forward or reverse tine tiller. I think this well really work better with the forward tine tiller because it would be throwing the dirt into the bed maker.

      @@papawsplace i definitely will but highly doubt I will. First off it seems like a major pain to switch it and second I don't see a great benifit to doing it. I do a deep disc first and then with 7 inch deep till I think it does the job. Now with my "hiller tiller" I think it's gonna be a game changer for my rows.

      I made a Hiller=Furrower for a reartine tiller similar to the (Earthquake Hiller-Furrower Tiller on line) and it worked pretty well. Look you the Earthquake Hiller-Furrower Tiller attachment and you will et the idea.

    Mr. Poorboy, in your opinion, which method makes the best raised beds; you tiller hiller or using the disc hiller that you mention? Any additional input on comparing the two would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for making this video.

    • @papawsplace
      @papawsplace  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good morning Mr. Chad, since my garden plots are small, I tend to favor the disc hipper just because it's easier to hook to the tractor. I built this tiller hiller mainly as a project before punching the disc hiller to see for myself if they really worked and it really does. Here is a video on the disc hipper. th-cam.com/video/zaTyoFrFhYQ/w-d-xo.html

  • @johnreidhar5977
    @johnreidhar5977 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    You may try stopping, turning pot off before lifting the tiller on ends. I do that on mine and it helps keep that hump of dirt down, because when the rotating stops, the dirt falls down, rat her than getting thrower back.

      Well, it all depends on what I'm planting but I like room between my plants (like tomatoes, cucumbers, squash watermelons and such) for the most part. but each is to their own, I guess a man can built it to his liking.
