I know the loading times may put some people off, but honestly if you don't have access to a PS5, this version is still incredible. We've all experienced GTA loading times.
Even just buying a USB SSD will blow through those load times. Fewer than 10 seconds :) I did that before the current gen came out.
@@matthewjalovick I did install a SSD in a PS3. Due to some heavy bottlenecks in other places it wasn't super speed upgrade everywhere. But... some games loaded twice as quick.
@@MasticinaAkicta makes sense. It’s also dependent on the memory bandwidth and the CPU calling for it. But even so I remember playing RDR2 on my One X with an SSD and the load times went from 3 minutes to 45 seconds. I was in heaven haha even more so now with PS5/XSX.

The loading time isn't even that bad 2k has longer loading times than this
I got one word for this game Fantastic, been playing on PS4 slim with SSD for 8 hours, I've had no bugs ,glitches or crashes. The game runs and looks great, load times are 20 seconds during fast travel and 6 seconds leaving Hogwarts. The SSD is doing a great job with load times and no pop in or texture issues, inside Hogwarts looks gorgeous, the devs are pure wizards at their craft.

My game is downloading i bought the normal Version because i have a ps5 disc deluxe Version but still no ps5 as i have other priorities but i am stoked as fuck did not play HP games anymore since the old ones

When did the ps5 come out? It’s been several years now, I JUST NOW seen the first ps5 in my area at my local Walmart, I think it was 499 or 599, I don’t remember exactly. Just crazy it took so long to see any around here… that’s the only reason I have Xbox series x

The Ps4 really was a powerhouse. It always ran games almost the exact same.
The ps4 had weak hardware on launch, that was 10 years ago

On midnight I spent 3 hours playing this game I was yawning and falling asleep on myself and I was hooked completely I wasn't disappointed at all

Appreciate this Hollow! I’ll be buying a PS5 soon but until then it’s nice to see content creators still once and a while go back to the 4. The PS4 was a great console but ever since the 5 came out, people are treating the 4 like it was the worst thing in the world.

Literally nobody is treating the PS4 like that. We’re simply saying that the PS4 has held back developers’ games on PS5 by trying to please the PS4 as well.
The PS4 is clearly inferior to PS5 and it’s ridiculous to think it’s not. I still have my PS4 and don’t plan on selling it any time soon since I loved it so much for the time I had it. But it’s time to move on. Some games have already lost 3 years of true PS5 power because of the PS4.

@@mrbossawesome6087 Consoles weren’t as advanced as they’ve finally become this generation to care. It’s nobody’s fault, it’s just an unfortunate situation that PS4 players *need* to be pleased or they get in a fuss about being left out like it’s happened multiple times to exclusive games.
Again, I’m not blaming anyone, despite it sounding that way. Even console exclusive players go through the same thing and complain about different games being exclusive. Nobody can get everything they want.
But it is indeed time to move on from the PS4. There’s a lifetime of incredible games to play and the PS5 barely has exclusive games on it’s own which is long overdue, on top of the fact Sony constantly talks about the enhanced features. It’s about time Sony and the devs showcase just how phenomenal the PS5 is and they can’t do that if they’re trying to satisfy PS4 players as well. They’ve already started making DLC PS5 exclusive. By the end of the year, the PS4 will be left in the dust officially.

51:25 to be honest, loading screens and visible texture loading are both a small price to pay for an incredible game running pretty darn well on PS4 and Xbox One!
And patches will probably be coming soon to solve or improve some of these minor issues.

Yeah I've had no issues loading times don't bother me but I'll probably think different once I have an xbox series x and the loading takes 5 seconds instead of 40 but until then really doesn't phase me still a great game 👌

I really miss my PS4 sometimes. I had two at one point but sold both to buy the PS5. It's still one of my favourite consoles ever.
The PS4 version is amazing still. I'm level 24 in counting and have just unlocked my villarium and nap sack. The puzzles a fairly simple and combat is one of the best parts of the game for me other than exploring the map.

@@fardel8021 yes but not everyone can afford one, if i didn’t have a ps5 i would still be pretty happy with the ps4, even though the 60frames and higher res would be nice, but then again theres also ps4 pro.
@@fardel8021 no it doesn't because of covid and Scalpers it was really hard for any gamer to get their hands on a ps4 I'm not spending a grand on a ps5 which is why companies are releasing games for the ps4 as a large majority are still on that console because a ps5 was sold out everywhere

I just started playing it on ps 4 and it’s not the best graphics, but considering the size and amount going on in the world it’s great fun still, eventually I will get it on ps5
Hogwarts Legacy isn't even finished yet, we're all waiting for add-ons and possible DLC, multiplayer is still a possibility
It's quite obvious that you are playing this game on the old hard drive in the PS4, you need to use a SSD, the load times are so much better, it took you 24 seconds to go outside of Hogwarts, with a SSD this takes 6 seconds, fast travel on hard drive takes 50 seconds, it takes 20 seconds on SSD.
As a person who recently downgraded from PS5 to PS4 this video got me excited! 😊

I first played this game a few months back on a friends built pc. I was visiting him and while I returned home I bought the version for ps4 it’s still just as incredible and large of a game. Just the 15-30sec loading screens from time to time but it still an amazing game.
playing on a PS4 slim with SSD drive and it works really fast for me. about 6-12 second between doors inside the school if it has to load and about 22 secs to load anything when you leave the school. fast travel about 30 seconds even faster sometimes. real fun game, no glitches so far and the clipping isn't really bad imo. still feels like a real quality game for the PS4
How do the graphics feel on your Slim compared to the Pro?

I waited for the ps4 release. After GOW Ragnarok I was thinking to myself there can't be that much of a difference between ps5 and 4. Glad I wasn't wrong. I love this game on my ps4 pro. Thank you avalanche for taking extra time to make sure this game is amazing even on ps4

As annoyed as I am by the delay of the switch release, this, on the PS4 is remarkable, better than expected. I cannot wait on this game, for the switch, I have a PS4, this is the way I will choose. It's the console experience, and I won't mind it, in my opinion. I thank you greatly for releasing this. You have earned yourself a new subscriber. I am loving your playthrough on the PC version. Been beside myself, wanting this game so badly. I am a Potterhead, a big fan of the movies, and I've read most of the books.
Ps4 is very powerful it alredy prove that in 2018 2020 and 2022 i still cant believe elden ring and gow raganarok cane to ps4 and both of them work great

Honestly, game still looks as it did for those who played on ps5. Graphics are still really good. No bugs, no lag, no problems at all.

To be honest, this look pretty good. The amount of work that this team have put on this game is tremendous. I have to say I already play it on next gen (PS5) and It has those loadings sometimes, still, I think it is what it its, and It is still a beautiful and great game if you play it on any console or gen. I've been playing on Xbox One for 22 hours now.... this game is EVERYTHING!!
You have to remember that the ps4 is way less powerful than the ps5 which is why loading on the ps5 is unoticable quite often but the flaw with the ps5 is that you need an expensive TV in order to get 4k graphics and you also need to fork out on a 2 tb SSD to increase the storage capacity of the console the ps5. Is the fork in the road for gaming high quality gaming that comes with a huge hidden price tag or the ps4;which is the last realistic quality console at a reasonable price for the budget gamer
Just save up a little bit every month it doesn't take that long I honestly just put a little bit of side after bills and what not
I play on original xbox I mean the original 2013 and it runs perfectly had no issues no glitches other than a few frame drop issues but other than that it's running absolutely stunningly the devs really came through on this literally bow down to them if I could can't have been an easy task by any stretch.

I’m 24 and I’ve never watched Harry Potter👀 so I just started the series, watched the first one last night with my wife, it was interesting. I’m a realist, if I don’t believe in it, I normally don’t watch or play it, BUT since it started off from literally the beginning of Harry’s life, it kinda sucked me in! Ps4 is amazing that’s what I play on and I’ve got riders republic which I also played on a friends ps5 and the loading times aren’t any worse and if anyone says “but the graphics are better”, don’t you mean speed which isn’t much better I don’t think and graphics are down to the tv mostly
it’s crazy how on ps5 every area was loaded instantly and transitioned seamlessly with no loading screens. other than that, this is pretty impressive stuff, it makes you wonder how some developers drop the ball so hard on next gen
@DreSaidSo I 100% completed everything and got the platinum with 150+ hours played and never encountered a loading screen other than a black screen when you enter caves and dungeons which are not part of the open world so 🤷♂️

Now they got to make some dlcs.... Pref of course quidditch, more mini games, and of course since you are a fifth year: the Triwizard Tournament! I mean they have the goblet trophies and some of the event games are in this game like the Grass maze, The dragon battle, only thing they got to make is the swimming part with the mermaids, or as the tournament was different in some years make one for the Hogwarts legacy time period. If they do end up making this game multiplayer. Also make Quidditch a multiplayer sports game and the Triwizard's tournament battle royale style, but make it free to all like Fortnite and Cod games; ingame cosmetics and battle passes... It will most definitely be popular and of course money making.
I think the lighting on the ps4 is much better than on the ps5 when it comes to the face saturation

Not bad for the PS4. One has to remember the PS4 has HALF the memory of the PS5. And that includes that the OS will take some of the memory. So it probably has 5.5Gbyte of memory for the game/graphics.
Getting the game to run this well in that is pretty good.
A lot of people will get to enjoy this awesome game.
my 1 tb ps4 has more memory than my ps5 where you actually get less than 1 tb. that's why for ps5 external hard drives are a must otherwise the ps5 can only hold like 5 or 6 ps5 games.
@DreSaidSo i mean yea you can delete games but who wants to do that with games your still playing? it depends on the games but if you have like gta 5 and rdr2 that's almost half the memory. that's good 15 works for you but i have like 70 ps4 and ps5 games and wanted them all on my ps5 so i had no choice but to get an external hard drive

I’m still playing this game and I love the game when I got it for my ps5 I played 9 hours non stop I couldn’t put the controller down the team delivered and the game deserves a sequel in my opinion the only issue I had with this game were some bugs were annoying and the repeated lines were annoying as well but other then that the game is amazing
Unpopular opinion but the game is just not fun, its sooo boring and empty, the ai is brainless, the story is meh, the visuals and the castle especially are the only things that really stood out and were amazing , but as an rpg its horrible.

Theres a lot of load time in game. A few seconds to a minute.. when i received the quest to go to Hogsmeade the first time, the load screen froze after 5 minutes so i had to restart game. But after that I have not had ay problems yet.

There's some bugs, but they will patch them. This looks very impressive and for my sister's sake, I'm glad this looks excellent.
Comparing it to the Xbox One version - I just looked at a gameplay video - I'd say that the PS4 version has higher graphical detail but more graphical glitches. I'm just basing that off very little data, so it may be wrong, but that is my first impression.
My Xbox loaded the game in 12 minutes. The updates took 2 and a half hours.
I got the game for the PS4 Pro a couple of days ago and the graphics are so much worse for me! Idk what the problem coud be...

Ill admit i am still on the ps4. Not as easy for me to get as ps5 as most. But as far as Hogwarts Legacy is concerned it is much better than how most people have been down talkong it. It is obvious that they had to do a lot of take away and clean up to make it work. It is not capable of fast loading and the huge backgrund outside o Hogwarts gets pixilated. But i personally dont care. This is still a beautiful game and the best single player imo

It's amazing how a game developer whom I have never heard of achieved something that project cd red failed failed to do with cyberpunk 2077 produce a deep and detailed game that was made to a high quality without to many bugs and Glitches which goes to show the sort of game that can be made with the correct focus and care I already have my copy on ps4 on order which for me is
