It’s been really snowy and foggy majority really cold outside where I live and your videos are what gets me through winter when I can’t take the street monster out. Always happy watching your videos out in the garage with my red 1992 eagle talon tsi Awd as a couch and you up on my TV
Thank you for all the educational videos, as someone who's new to the dsm scene and somewhat new to working on cars this is a huge help. I hope you keep these types of video's coming!
I haven't missed the shootout since 2006. This year being the 30th was a FANTASTIC time. New personal bests for me on every part of the timeslip, ended up losing to the eventual winner of the 10.5 index class.
Super troubleshooting reference. I had to work the same on my gs-t. After you do it this job once you are comfortable on working that 100 x. Now I am looking for inspiration to work on my time belt that jumped. Looking back at your videos as reference will certainly help.
@@SlippingTime yeap. Apparently that is the case. I didn't have time to look at it, but while the engine was ticking, it didn't lose compression or has acted up. Could drive back home no problem.
Hmmm-great question on the stock fuel filter limit. For 500hp would be upgrading the fuel feed line for sure which would need a different filter. I would be doing a lot of changes for fuel setup for that much HP no doubt. Fuel pump is part of the equation only. Thanks for the support and comments.
Most 2g guys leave the pressure line attached the pump hanger and disconnect under the car, seen too many people snap the line off the fuel hanger this way as it's usually very stubborn if its never been apart.
I was going to comment - after 15+ years changing these pumps I’ve never been able to get that line loose from about. I don’t even try removing it from the top now ha. I usually leave it attached and pull it with the hanger.
I share and like every of your videos. As a DSMer i love this content!
I appreciate the support immensely. Thank you !

Sorry to hear about the timing belt skip. If it was only a few teeth the valves should be okay. Best of luck with it!

I appreciate these tech videos very much. Thank you. So the stock fuel filter is good enough for 500 HP ? Keep up the great work.

A true story for sure!

It's so hard to get that gas smell off your hands! Oh, that vintage clock on the bench must have a story??
Yes it does.
Although the clock isn’t a grandfather clock, it is a grandfather’s clock - my grandpa.
