The expression I have on my face right now, is undescribable I just got back from a long service request in another state. But as soon as I get back to have any free time I look at my notifications and boom not one but two uploads man I am so sorry that I missed it but I’m definitely ready to catch up on everything. Gotta say though this video was a certain surprise it was super nostalgic to me because I ran into a bunch of these problems with a lot of these cars and ugh it just gives you the feels whenever he’s talking about something you know and I’ve already done before 😌 very very enjoyable super quality video Love and appreciate you always. You are the man Dean!!!!💪💪💪💪😎😎😎
Fixing the little things makes the whole car just that much better.
Agreed!
Still looking forward to more content on the Esprit. Hope to see you at the Lotus Owners Gathering in Tennessee August 25th - Sunday, August 27th, 2023. It will be a great opportunity to see other Esprits, their owners and maintainers.
I finally went through all the parts that came across the pond for the Esprit. I did some video footage of it that will finally have some new content on the Lotus.
That Lotus Owners Gathering will be a lot of fun for sure. I don’t know yet if I will make it, but I will keep the date in mind in case. If the Esprit was complete I wouldn’t miss it for sure.
Hey there glad I found this channel, I've had 3 dsms 90,90,91 all tsi awd 5 speeds. I'm from Saskatoon so was happy to see this was local. The last one I bought was from a guy I think his name was AL in Regina. He was kinda a dsm nut. He had a red gen 2 all done up with a massive turbo I think he blew it up. Do you know this guy? Was about 2005. He had long black hair.
Welcome to the channel and thanks for watching. I do remember Al from back then. He did have a lot into his 2g for sure.
Hatch hack is great. I'll be making the adjustment on mine. Thanks for the info!
Glad it comes in useful for you. A common problem as they age.
I love that these cars are at a point where they get restored and are truly appreciated, im a small time dsm Technician in Arizona and love saving as much as these cars as I can. Also if you ever need any 1g dsm parts let me know!
I think the same. What part of Arizona? I visit there occasionally.

I'm loving your channel!!! I have a 1990 GST I'm looking to restore.. I'd LOVE to pick your brain a bit sometime. I'm loving all the DSM content!!!!
Happy to hear you are enjoying the videos. I got busy lately, but will have more to come for sure!
Great video once again!
Thank you Greg.
To eliminate the smell try "Ozium Air Sanitizer" it works for the mildew smell and would probably help with the mouse smell. Looking forward to seeing the car cleaned.
Thanks for the tip. It is worth a shot for sure.
Anyone rebuild the TB's on these anymore or is there a good aftermarket TB? Did the boost leak check and TB leaking..tried replacing seals...still leaks so clearly I didn't replace properly.
There used to be a really good guy called throttlebodys.com that did them, but his website is no more. He bored them out larger too if requested. TMZ I believe rebuilds them currently.
@@SlippingTime TMZ has been closed since a fire hit his shop. 😢
@@ericbryant796 yes, very sad. I believe Tim plans on reopening eventually, but could be a long while.
Nice repairs. Do you make your own chocolate chip cookies? Notice you kept most of it up high!
The are homemade. I can say my wife treats me well.
Dsm forever bro 💪
They’re like kids - we never give up on them. 😀
Any tip for the gas tank lid? Mines won’t lock so it’s always popping out 😢
On those I will assume the latch or catch is broken. Generally I see see the catch on the body breaks. In this case it is likely best to find a replacement from a parts car.
first to comment !!!
Do you have face book ?
Yes. It’s “Slipping Time”.
The solution to stinky AC: Klima Cleaner Air Conditioner Cleaner from nextzett. BMW E46 AC is notoriously smelly and this stuff completely resolved the smell long-term for me several times.
clarification: one application per car, not multiple times for one car.
Thanks for sharing the great tip Whodis. Time to try it out!
