I love most of these tips as a temporary fix, but as a teacher, I would prefer having clothes that fit well so that I don’t have to struggle with an outfit all day to look good.
Loved this video. For anyone worried about the holes created by the safety pins/ earrings hacks, I recently bought some magnetic holeless clips from eBay. I use them instead of safety pins and so far none have fallen off. I bought 12 pieces in a selection of colours and use them for scarves, button down shirts that gape in the bust, etc.
Could you please share the link or name of the item? I tried searching “ebay magnetic hole-less clip” and there’s at least 3 different forms of it. Like, a single button type, a double, and like a chip bag type. None of them look like safety pins?
Instead of pinning the jeans or trousers, which still look sloppy when seen from the back, consider going to a great tailor and shorten the trousers. Tailors need support -- an art that is not supported enough. It looks much better, and does not cost much. It's worth it.
I think her reason was the versatility, then you can take the hem up or let it down depending on your styling of that day. Otherwise totally agree with you, we really should support our local tailors whose existence is being killed by fast-fashion. Plus - as you say - the outfit will look so much better on us when properly tailored.
You dont get it. The current style is to have the pants look like they are breaking over your feet. I do that too sometimes. Pin the back so you are not stepping on them, and it looks too long like you want it to. I really like the look of wider pants that are bit too long.

Amazing tips. I’m one that wants to throw out my closet and don’t understand how influencers are always so stylish. I loved how you said you would need to adjust the top under the bra throughout the day…thanks for keeping it real!
I follow you on Instagram and was blown away by the earring hack, as well as the safety pin in the back of the shirt hack. The safety pins at the hem of too-long pants is next-level genius! Such a useful video, Ellena! Thank you! ❤
Fabric tape is also a great solution for some of these so you aren’t permanently altering the item. And as an EMT, please don’t wear tight things such as hair ties around your limbs, it’s dangerous to restrict any blood and lymphatic flow!
There are elastic bands especially made for the purpose. I think they are called _sleeve garters?_ At any rate, they do the job but are not tight. Much better, but of course would cost more...
I have always loved creases in pants. It pushes the fabric back and makes you look thinner. I love the ideas of the earring on the sweater and the safety pin at the back of the shirt. Very original!
After watching your video I have changed my opinion on long collared shirts. Have avoided them as they overpower my smaller frame and make me look like I'm wearing a man's shirt that is 5 sizes too big ! Seeing how you adapt the shirt to offer a more fitted and "styled" version has given me more options to make these pieces work. And since we all want more bang for our buck and versatility with our clothing, your tips have hit the mark. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and look forward to checking out your other video presentations.
best channel - and l tested a lot! Most are only talking, talking, talking blablabla. You are explaining and showing examples before and after - that's brillant for me!
These tips are gold! Thank you! Excited to try all of them! Most of them were new to me and I have watched a bunch of style videos before from other creaters
Thank you. I especially like 2 Tips towards the end of video - the tuck & Brooch at waist of blue sweater... the Safety Pin in gathering at waist Back on oversized blouse - with rolling up of sleeves which I often do. Now, if only we could still EASILY find good strong safety pins of different sizes these days.
You are the best 👌...since following you I have purchased multiple bright bags...bright blue...orange and burgundy....I but lots of brooches from ebay second hand...they are brilliant 👏....thank you Ellena...x
Wow ! So easy to add glamour to an “OK” looking outfit, and at no extra expense. Can’t wait to try these ideas. My safety pins and earrings are gathered and ready to be creatively used. LOL ❤
Thanks for all the tips. It does save $ going to the tailor, although it looks better if long pants are tailored. I am petite and was wondering if you can include stylish, chic petite derssing.
Thank you for your great ideas ✌🏼 esp pinning the inside of the back of a baggy blouse with a big safety pin AND putting a scarf on the inside of my jacket 😊 You are a genius 👏👏👏
I like the tucked in look, but I only do it to light fabrics because I feel uncomfortable with thicker ones. The grey sweater looked wonderful after you tucked it, but I think it would look too bullky on me because it would add widgt to my waist. Maybe there is a trick I'm not seeing?
Great video as usual. Would love some more ideas on how to style men’s shirts as I recently thrifted some and they seem extra long even though I am 5’6”.
As I own a bunch of earrings (really great with rather short haircuts) the earring- hack was much appreciated. But….- the pin stings, especially when used on fabrics like wool. It worked well on my Blazer. 😅
Brilliant!!! Please, tell me, how do I wear my big crossbody bag across my body? It has to hang there so I have my hands free. A clutch in my hand is not going to happen, and neither is the one shoulder pressed against my side- kind of bag. So, how do I wear my crossbody bag without it making my bust look ridiculous and my hip wider, where the bag rests? Like a seatbelt
I don’t want to look wide or cut in half when viewed from the back. Any tips for oversize shirts besides full tuck ? When creasing trousers with an iron (esp pleated trousers), how far up the bum and thigh should the creases go?? Loved this video!
PS- the oversize shirt + pants together does not look good on celebrities or fashion bloggers/Instagirls either! Balancing proportions applies to them too. Your style is so much better and consistent!
I never would have thought of the pink bag instead of black with the gray blazer and yellow pants. That looks so much better! From now on will consider colors beyond my first idea and see if what I have makes such an impact.
I’m a petite and I tuck in all my tops, or wear “cropped”, waist-length ones. It makes a huge improvement to my visual proportions, I always look stumpy in big, long tops. Purging all those tunic-length tops from my wardrobe around 15 years ago was the best thing I ever did for my style. They are still heavily pushed for women my age, 64, but there’s nothing more unflattering and frumpy. My tummy is more rounded than in my youth, but I don’t care, we women supposed to have some curves and really, mine is no bigger than other women my size (about US 8), smaller, if anything.
I'm petite too, 5ft and UK12, and often have tops shortened (if I like them enough to justify the cost!). I'm shorter bodied so find tucking in makes me look as though my boobs are sitting on my waist band. I aim for the hemline to be just 2 or 3 inches below waistband and I feel much better proportioned. Doesn't work so well with knitwear though 🙁
You’re showing the correct way to iron pants/shorts, they shouldn’t be ironed flat. It really makes a big difference, making one’s hips and legs look slimmer.
I don’t know whether it’s sold like that, or you up-cycled something to cover it, -(do tell)-but the fluffy microphone pinned to your outfit is adorable.
New subscriber! I have a terrible time with my nice t-shirts looking too boxy. I have a large chest, so I must fit that area, or the fabric pulls, and I hate that look. I wonder if the safety pin in the back would work? Or sewing up the side seams for a more flattering fit?

Thanks for all the tips. It does save $ going to the tailor, although it looks better if long pants are tailored. I am petite and was wondering if you can include stylish, chic petite derssing.
Thank you for your great ideas ✌🏼 esp pinning the inside of the back of a baggy blouse with a big safety pin AND putting a scarf on the inside of my jacket 😊 You are a genius 👏👏👏
You really are an inspiration!
Wow, what an amazing and easy ideas. Thanks Lena
Thank you Ellena for your valuable advice. 👍😘
Another fabulous video! Thanks so much!
Just WOW! Great hacks!
Absolutely great tips, I will definitely be using them! Many thanks 😊
Ellena; Is it necessary to START with sloppy fitting garments?
I like the tucked in look, but I only do it to light fabrics because I feel uncomfortable with thicker ones. The grey sweater looked wonderful after you tucked it, but I think it would look too bullky on me because it would add widgt to my waist.
Maybe there is a trick I'm not seeing?
Love Diana as well. My two great stylists together. Fabulous!
Thank you for the safety pin hack. So very useful!!!😊
Елена, с удовольствием смотрела ❤❤❤❤❤
Вы неимоверно вдохновляете!!!
💛💙⚓️😉
Such a useful video! Thank you.
Excellent and informative content as always. Thank you Ellena
Great video as usual. Would love some more ideas on how to style men’s shirts as I recently thrifted some and they seem extra long even though I am 5’6”.
My first time watching you. Loved all your hackers. Keep them coming. I needed them all. Great presentation.
Hi Ellena, it’s just great you make content in English! BTW your English is amazing! Can’t wait for another video!
Your hair looks fabulous! Maybe you could change your styling tips from baggy clothes to great hair.
This is absolutely genius ❤❤❤
I love to do hacks.
These seem to be doable😊
As I own a bunch of earrings (really great with rather short haircuts) the earring- hack was much appreciated.
But….- the pin stings, especially when used on fabrics like wool. It worked well on my Blazer. 😅
Thank you Ellena for sharing this video.... life saver :)
Absolutly wonderful!!! Thanks a lot!!!
Amazing video. You are a fashion angel.
Awesome pieces of advice! Thank you
Wonderful! Thank you ❤
I’ve been doing some of these hacks for years! Learning some new ones👍💕
I LOVE the colour of your nails. What varnish/gel is it?
Beautiful!
Very useful information thank you I’m glad I found you. I can’t wait to see some more of your videos.
I will try these style tricks!!!
Ellena, you are a very Classy Genius! Thank you for sharing. Kym, Edinburgh, Scotland.😍
I love the safety pin with the hem of the jeans. It's so simple.
Thank you for the great ideas❤
This video was oh so great 👍🏾 ❤😊
Wow! Really new tips, for me at least! Thank you!!!
Reverse triangle tips for elevated style. Thank you!
I love, love these style hacks, Ellena!
Fabulous tips thank you 👏👏👏🥰
Ohmg😂 why did I not find you before!? These are all awesome suggestions/recommendations, and you sure are very inspiring 🫶🏽thank you for sharing
I am loving this channel!
Excellent tips! Love this content!
Can you add a link to the beautiful pink waistcoat you’re wearing please?
"Perfect ". 🥰,. Excellent , ideas big 👌
You’re showing the correct way to iron pants/shorts, they shouldn’t be ironed flat. It really makes a big difference, making one’s hips and legs look slimmer.
How about finding a good tailor to fix long hems etc
I don’t know whether it’s sold like that, or you up-cycled something to cover it, -(do tell)-but the fluffy microphone pinned to your outfit is adorable.
love the soft pink vest, where to get please?
U r an absolute legend !!☺️
New subscriber! I have a terrible time with my nice t-shirts looking too boxy. I have a large chest, so I must fit that area, or the fabric pulls, and I hate that look. I wonder if the safety pin in the back would work? Or sewing up the side seams for a more flattering fit?
Perfect❤
Лена, вы молодец!
Great video! I like them in English!
Надихалась вашими образами багато років, тепер рада побачити в англомовному Ютубі.
Pressing pleats into my Bermuda shorts...genius! 😊
Hi Elena, thanks for very useful hacks! How do you roll your shirt sleeves so the cuffs still show when the sleeves are higher?
