Thank you Ellena! I turned 60 this week. I want to dress my age but not look like an old woman. That's where your advice comes in. Your advice is universal and ageless. I look forward to more videos like this one.
I love that your videos has a little bit of everything, you teach, you described, you show us examples and where to buy them, you don't push anything on anyone, that amazing..💌
Really good, solid and practical advice. Shoes definitely make or break an outfit. I tend to dress for the weather/activity/length of time out (I live in Ireland, so rain is almost guaranteed at some point of the day.) and footwear is the first thing I choose when building an outfit. I will need footwear that is practical, comfortable and stylish depending on where I am going, if out for the full day. The clothing has to suit the shoes. It's a better way to start .
I live in Norway, and need shoes for different weather, we can have 3 season in one day. And waking in cute shoes that makes my feet hurt is in the past. At the age of 65 comfort is important.
Thank you so much for this comment! It means a lot! ❤️ I’m trying to stay true to myself and give a unique vision of styling to my audience! I hope many people would love and appreciate it ☺️
Love your videos. So glad you are willing to share your expertise with a global community. I find your style so refreshing and playful. Hope that I can create an outfit that will not just be noticed but will be remembered.
Style is one thing, but common sense should prevail. When I was growing up, pointed shoes came into fashion, and orthopedic custom-made shoes came into my life, from foot problems. Shoes should not only be fashionable but also comfortable and healthy. After years of orthopedic shoes, I am very particular what I wear.
Shoes don’t have to be “healthy” if you aren’t walking anywhere. You might be going for a meal and sitting all night so shoes can be any style at all. I believe the situation can determine the shoes so a fun pair of shoes can be an option
Hi Ellena, love your style and your ideas. Is it possible to purchase the red top you model in this episode? If so, could you provide a link? Thank you!
Ellena, thank you so much for another interesting and inspirational video! I liked all, but the transparent ballet flats. Sorry... I know it is a trend, but...
Great video! I wish you tried a white or black ballerina shoes or the like with your last look, instead of black loafers because I think they would have looked way more delicate. Would appreciate your opinion on this. Love your videos and love your style. ❤
Thank you for this video because I go through my wardrobe and it really makes a difference, in the shoes choose for your outfit. I get so frustrated because I always feel like I don’t have the right shoe for this outfit.😊
You. Are. BRILLIANT!!! I found you via Diana Goss - love her, too! I laughed to know that you you wore your super-strappy black sandals because they were COMFORTABLE!!! I loved them from jump, even though I knew the other ones went better with the dress! :) These tips were just great! Thanks!
Very interesting take on the topic of shoes, but I don't have flats(plantar fasciitis) please, more videos on shoes, especially heels and boots❤❤...very valuable
Ellena Im fan from you since you startet. some video Ive watched 10times or more. I am looking forward to the next, fall and winter. One point I have: white letters on beige background, difficult to read...❤
I needed this! You make me understand the logic of style like none before! I would love for you to follow on this topic with bags Also, I'm trying to figure out how many shoes I really need and to start buying them with more criteria. I'm better at buying clothes after watching lots of videos, but I still struggle with shoes and bags. I can't find the line between too matchy matchy and a nice coordinated combo!
First of all, the H Q D U P S materials used in this replica are top-notch. The leather feels soft and luxurious, just like the real thing. The stitching is impeccable, no loose or uneven lines. The hardware, including the signature CC twist-lock closure, is sturdy and well-made, adding to the overall elegance of the bag.
Thanks for the shoe video…and the fact they are flat. I would liked to have seen some flat form sandals in the video as I really like these for getting a bit of height and for walking longer distances when traveling. For fall I would like to see one of these that covers boots and shoes…including some chunkier styles…like some chunkier soled loafers which I prefer to the flat ones and some of the many chunkier soled boots that are out there now. I walk a lot and I find these chunkier soles much easier on my feet…but also want to make sure they work with the outfits. Also…some alternatives to all the ballet flats and Mary Jane’s…PLEASE! I bought 5 pairs in the updated “Alaia” style silhouettes and found them very tricky to style. I only liked them with wide leg pants…that mostly covered up everything but the toe or with maxi skirts. I thought they all looked terrible with ankle length pants and even worse with shorts…perhaps I just need to move on to something else and leave these behind…😬
Such a helpful video! I’m one of those people that loves mesh flats 😊 also sock booties/boots, I have 3 pairs. Hopefully they’re in style at some point
I agrre with your choice exept of the last one. I think you not only can match the visual weight, shape and the colour of your clothes with your shoes but the material, too. In this last example I think the shoes are an option but not the best. It has to be something lighter. I am thinking of raffia shoes...

I’m 65 and have a style that fits in with hers. Unfortunately I have Flintstone feet and appreciate this subject.
@@marylhere I'm 65 too, and shoes is an issue. I trend more to comfort at my age, but I still want the shoes to look nice.

Yes🤗shoes are so hard for me

Love mesh ballet flats! Best last month purchase. So comfortable and stylish.
Hi Ellena, love your style and your ideas. Is it possible to purchase the red top you model in this episode? If so, could you provide a link? Thank you!
Would still prefer a sandal or more delicate shoe with the wide leg border print pants😊
Love that your channel is really taking off!🎉
Can you share some items that would match various outfits?
Ellena, thank you so much for another interesting and inspirational video! I liked all, but the transparent ballet flats. Sorry... I know it is a trend, but...

Thank you so much. You're such a big help

I always learn so much from your videos and I love your style. Look forward to the next shoe styling video. Thanks
Nice video. Thank you ❤
Love this video❤
Thank you ❤
Sheer GENIUS!!!!
Great video
I agrre with your choice exept of the last one. I think you not only can match the visual weight, shape and the colour of your clothes with your shoes but the material, too. In this last example I think the shoes are an option but not the best. It has to be something lighter. I am thinking of raffia shoes...
I was thinking of the same thing. The shape and darkness of the color work fine, but the shoes are too formal and stiff , don’t have the same vibe as the outfit. I was thinking of a pair of brown or tan ballet flats.
Wonder why designers put chunky shoes with relatively floral dramatic yet draped dresses ?
Blev 60 i april...😮No,NON,nein!...det er ikke katastrofalt😊
Where would you wear this off the shoulder white dress with flat shoes?? The dress looks overdressed on this case.😢
Is the speed fast in some parts of this video or is it just me?

What’s your opinion on the “wrong shoe “ theory?
Wrong shoe theory is just so silly. I mean obviously you dont want to look like you tried too hard. Thats why you dont want everything to be from the same school. You dont want everything you wear to be expensive, or all preppy, or all gothic, or all designer..... but that doesnt mean you should wear shoes that clash with your pants and drag on the ground. or overwhelm the outfit.
Oh, this is my favorite trick! I use it a lot in my Instagram challenge. Some of my followers even think it’s my own 'invention,' although I always explain that it’s not 😂. But this theory is more about 'breaking the rules.' To begin, we first need to understand what the rules are! So, I've decided to start this playlist with the basics...
Nice choice of dress color but to much background and the color floor. Nice be plain. Less background plants.
I love shoes more than bags but sorry I don't agree with some of the suggested pairings like the mesh shoes. I really like the awesome dress and I think it was completely ruined by the shoes.
I agree, I think it needed something with a small heel
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
Sorry , I’d wear brown or burgundy shoes instead of the black with the pant.
That is my thought as well
White shoes look old fashioned. Skin color shoes blend better and look more modern. White tennis shoes are classic but some styles look elderly looking. White is so sterile and has no warmth or flare.
Oh no please! Not these flat white shoes with this white dress 🙏
Kisses from France ❤
Mmmm... in my opinion the last shoes are too "winter" and heavy for those trousers and the colour doens't go at all. On the other hand, the shoes you chose for the white dress seem too casual for it. As if someboy stole your shoes while being at the gym. I'm very much into... if in doubt, ballerinas. Safe bet.
I love the flat shoes cuz realistically everyday average women dint wear high heels.
I love your style but I feel unable to be stylish at 58 yo. I gained 15 pounds since my Dad died.

Following the "wrong shoe" theory looks so unbalanced. An American stylist started this. It looks silly every time.
