I live near Chicago, so going west or east is about the same. Personally, I LOVE two airlines - Singapore and Turkish. Singapore Airlines has a Frankfurt hub, so I can stay and visit Germany. I had Bose headphones stolen by Mexican Viva Aerobus in January, but it has a daily Chicago-Guadalajara for $200, so when compared to others, I was still ahead after the theft.
