    Good Info, I've been flying back and forth to the Philippines for about Six years now. I'm always interested in cheaper fares except I will not ever fly through China again or use China Air. In China you have to go through their Immigration even for a Layover. Other places like Tokyo, Doha, Seoul you're just transiting the airport but China is a hassle.

    August/September/ October. It’s the best time to find affordable flights to the Philippines. Be aware it will be the rainy season as you need to stay safe in the main cities, and never take the risk of going far to unknown islands for hiking or to meet your girlfriend far there. Better you invite your girl to meet you in the city and avoid far provinces during the rainy season.

    In April, I took Cathy Pacific from Columbus, Ohio to Manila. When they delayed the second leg by 20 hours, they put me up at the Hilton in Boston and gave me 3 meal vouchers. Since I arrived 4 hours early in Hong Kong for the third leg, they offered me a hotel or the VIP lounge. The round trip fare was $ 1,240. Apparently they have low volume going through Hong Kong. In a month, the fare I have paid, is $ 1,350 for the round trip.

    I live near Chicago, so going west or east is about the same. Personally, I LOVE two airlines - Singapore and Turkish. Singapore Airlines has a Frankfurt hub, so I can stay and visit Germany. The main Turkish hub is Istanbul, one of my favorite places, so I can stay there.
    Discount airlines can present problems. I had Bose headphones stolen by Mexican Viva Aerobus in January, but it has a daily Chicago-Guadalajara for $200, so when compared to others, I was still ahead after the theft.

    Beware Skyscanner is fine but many of the agents are not. I was stung recently by one and took me ages to get my money back and then go directly with the airline (which was a similar price on this occasion to the best price skyscanner had to offer). It is not a cheap flight if you get ripped off or your flight fails and the agent refuses to pay your money back. Look at all the agents on all the review sites, not just trip advisor (as often fake reviews occur) and find out which one is most honest at that time or simply go directly with the airline and reduce the risk of being ripped off.

    Hey Brent! I'm seriously thinking of making my first scouting trip over there sometime in the next few months. Kind of want to wait until rainy season ends. What month would that be? Also, I think with jet lag, travel delays, etc. it's probably only realistic to visit 2 locations in the 2 weeks I have. Was thinking about Palawan, and Panglao Island off of Bohol. If time permits, I might visit Duma as well. If I do, I'd love to meet you and buy ya a beer! Keep up the good work.

      Rainy season is June to November. I came in August last year and stayed a couple of months and the weather was great but who knows. Sounds like you’ve got a pretty good plan. I enjoyed Bohol. Its a great place

    What is this deal with a fake ticket to fulfill this enter Philippines with an exit ticket fake or not.

      Its a fake ticket just to show the airlines because many people dont know when they’re leaving.

    • @michael_Jon7
      @michael_Jon7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      It’s a very simple ticket to get it’s called an “onward ticket” and you can get it for about $16 and it shows that you’re leaving.
      You can pick any place that you’re leaving to. Once you’re here in the Philippines and if you want to extend past the 30 days you can go online and get a tourist Visa waiver for another 30 days online very easy

      It's amazing they request this proof since airline tickets are refundable, can be changed, yet they want to see any ticket that again can be changed in the 30 days without telling anybody, just a ridiculous, redundant visa authority power play. It proves NOTHING! REAL OR FAKE TICKET. it all can be changed 5 minutes after you get visa stamp. HELLO!!
