That was cool. I've never gone up Caballo as I usually park at the lake. And I usually do diamondback and coyote run in the opposite direction but I think I'm going to give it a shot your way next time I'm out there.
If I may ask, what type of MTB would be well suited for Daley ranch? I’m planning to get a new MTB since my old one is obsolete(20 years old) and I don’t know where to look, I’ve been looking at a Growler 40 2021, and would it be a good bike for the trails there? I know there’s a lot of climbs involved
You can successfully ride a hardtail at Daley, but you're going to feel it. If it's in your budget and you can find something, I would go more for a mid travel 29er full suspension.
@@MTBTrailReview bumps, the bikes I’ve been looking at is out of stock and aren’t even sold anywhere near here. I’m sure if I take my old bike out to Daley ranch to the sage trail and stuff, I would probably have a hard time won’t i? If you want to know it’s a Raleigh MT200 1993

The amount of times I paused this video at 1:05 to figure out if that was me walking toward you is hilarious 🤣
Now I'm curious. Was it you?

It was a fun way to get some good downhill runs. It's a lot of climbing, especially going up Caballo, but I feel the downhills are worth it.
The music in the beginning was dope!
Thanks man! I'm trying to change it up and find some new stuff.
Creaky creaky😜 I do LOVE the color of that frame!
Yeah. It lasted about 5 rides. I think it's the cheap pedals again. I have some good ones on the way.
MTB Trail Review I always start with a little lube in all the joints. Dirt and dust get in there and muck things up.
Thanks for exposing all these trails I never new any thing about
No worries. There's more to come!
Try out Daley Ranch - Bobcat Trail (downhill) one day, it’s worth it but tucked away deep
I want to check that one out. I think I just need to go one day with the intent to do Bobcat. I heard it's a blast.
Hey brotha I’m fairly new to MTB when do you usually go riding I’m trying to get more practice and find new trails. I live in San marcos
Welcome to the sport! I usually east county on the weekends. Look for a group ride once the pandemic is over!
Me too dawgy! There some fun ones by the base of double peak or calavera that can be easy or harder depending on where you go.
I have only done Daily one time from the main parking area. Is this climb up worth the pain? Did you do Bobcat? I hear it's been fixed up.
I think it was worth it. We got some really long, fun downhills. Bobcat is on the other side of the area, and we didn't make it out there.
MTB Trail Review did you go up the first entrance of Boulder loop? I went up the second and it was brutally steep
@@EricHollanderAcu We went up the entrance where the Crest Trail ends. It was pretty steep.

How do you get to the parking lot at the beginning?

@@MTBTrailReview thank you, me and my dad will try it
@@danwoo5604 No worries!
Its also good because I live in valley center about 7 minutes away
@@danwoo5604 Nice!
Is "The Wall" still there? I only made it up once with clipless pedals back in the day. It was steep AF.
I honestly don't know. I'm still learning that area, so I don't know if we rode that section. Sounds terrible, though.
Are you talking about the area we called cardiac aka the three bitches? Or some other area. Egregious climb on the west side of the valley
@@foxykc Maybe. I haven't been there in years, but it was some ridiculous climb.
They graded it, boring now 😴
Caballo, Coyote, Boulder ST, Burnt Mt, Bobcat, Crest, Quail...don't come to Daley, it sucks 🤐
I definitely need to get back out there and check out some of the other trails.
