  • What separates good athletes from elite athletes? While skill, talent and athletic ability all factor in, mental skills are the major difference maker. Mental conditioning is useful in all walks of life. Whether you're in the batter's box, on a date, or in the conference room giving a presentation, we are all looking to get better. Dr. Jonathan Fader, Director of Mental Conditioning for the New York Giants, will show you how you can use the techniques of sport and performance psychology to win at life. Dr. Jonathan Fader is a licensed sport, performance and clinical psychologist. He is the Director of Mental Conditioning for the New York Football Giants and also served as the team psychologist for the New York Mets for nine seasons. He is part of The New York City Fire Department (FDNY) Mental Performance Initiative. Dr. Fader is the Co-Founder of SportStrata and Union Square Practice in New York City which offer services to individuals and groups around mental health and conditioning. Fader is a frequent contributor to the national conversation on performance, appearing on CBS this Morning, CNN, Fox News, Bleacher Report and others. Represented by the Lavin Agency, he regularly speaks to groups on improving performance. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Dr. Fader is on point with this presentation. He simplifies the core concepts essential to excellence in a way that can be easily applied to your performance area. Like physical training, it takes practice. Fader gives you a great start in this talk.

In 2018, several competitors at the Isle of Man International chess competition had their heart rates measured while they played. After a two-hour game, grandmaster Mikhail Antipovhad burned 560 calories - the equivalent of more than a five-mile run.Sep 18, 2019... DO NOT 'OVER THINK IT' OR YOU CAN RUN YOUR BODY DOWN BEFORE YOU EVEN ENTER THE STADIUM.

Does our heart rate increase as we flex our brain??? just like it does when we tense our muscles to increase oxygen blood floor and energy synthesis
