I’m currently in a dark place. Just broke up with a girl who wanted to spend my life with, unsure about if the career I’m in is at a dead end, relapsed from alcohol after almost 3 years. But after finding DJ’s interviews he’s definitely made me feel like I can crawl out of this dark place and continue to be strong even if it’s a small amount and It doesn’t feel like I’m doing shit. Just as long as I’m better than I was yesterday even at a micro percentage, i know I’m moving forward. Stay strong 💪🏼
Hang in there. Keep up the good attitude. Remember you’re not the only one going through/has gone through what you’re going through. Someday you’ll look back and be grateful that you went through what you did. It makes you stronger and helps mold you into the strong man you’re on your way to becoming.
don't tell anyone else your problems. Either 1/they don't care or 2/they're glad they're happening to you instead of them. Put your head down and get to work. Stay in the body & out of the mind. Train, train, train. Build the vessel back up stronger.
Get up each morning and keep going. It sucks to be in the dumps. Few to help you! Pull yourself up by the boot straps and keep going. Help who you can help!
@@AlottaDixonCider That’s the opposite of the message DJ is trying to send here. Suffering in silence is why the veteran community has such a high suicide rate. You don’t need to suffer in silence. 20+ year Army vet. I’ve been to treatment for anxiety, PTSD, and alcohol abuse. None of it has worked. This video really resonated with me though. I’m going to watch it everyday and ask myself in those dark moments if what I’m doing or about to do is good for my team.
Try changing your diet to strict carnivore or lion diet.. Help greatly with anxiety and made it much easier to quit alcohol due to lowering carbohydrate intake.
It just dawned on me. When I was young like 6 or 7 yrs old I remember when I got mad I would go chop weeds or do something that was strenuous for an hour or so and all the anger disappeared. I’ve been a proponent of exercise for stress relief for many years. God obviously made us that way. Since I heard DJ talking about the 20 minute walks after meals I been doing that. Brother I can tell you it’s life changing. Thanks for sharing this with us it does matter. I’m an emergency services unit chief we always have had the attitude that what one member does reflects on all of us. It’s not an easy standard to live by but when you consider the unit is only as good as the weakest member it’s worth the effort to “be a pro” every minute of every day. Thanks brother you are making a difference.

Everything will work out in the end of every situation like it always has. Navigating the storm is the hardest and once you’re thru it you’ll be glad you experienced it. I was devastated when the Navy took my SEAL contract and sent me home for a medical condition I did not have, girlfriends I never wanted to lose break up with me and have kids with someone else, couldn’t afford to finish college so I had to drop out, lost every friend I thought I had in college in my frat bc of political differences, and so on. All you have to do is focus on building yourself up and give it time. None of those past circumstances are holding me back now. I’m far stronger and wouldn’t change a thing. Storms are beautiful, just don’t go thru them alone. Stay strong, guys! Everything will be okay!
I started this mental reboot a few years ago, I was drinking more than I should, my attitude was very erratic, on the outside everyone saw me as this super cool super focused and successful man, but in the background I was living a tortured life. I had to take a look at the time I was most proud of myself, this was when i reverted back to my military mindset. Since then it’s gotten much better, I’ve earned my Blackbelt in TKD, started and am almost done with my restomod that has been sitting for more than 20 years, and this has just begun…👊🏽🇺🇸

Adding routines and small wins everyday. Poor Mental health is a dis-ease. So finding things and small wins to ease the mind transmutes the negative energy into positive energy. And that’s something to build on. Just keep going. 🤙
Hey Brother. Unclear about the backfill apology but I'm 50 and I worried more about others including my family and then I realized I don't need anyone's acceptance including my own and I was able to make huge strides in my personal development. My routine is similar but I was beating myself up if I fell short. Realizing falling short is part of my personal growth.
It’s good to see and hear this hero , spreading the awareness of mental health… it is real and people needs to start taking this seriously, watch your friends and family talk to them listen to them and be there for them .. God bless you sir as my prayers go out to you and those out there that needs help . Amen 🙏🏼 🏴🇬🇧🇺🇸
I can't express the immense respect in my heart for them. I tried everything to fight all the toxicity that life has thrown at me. No one can guide you the way they can. I realized that they had been to absolute hell, conquered it, came back, and remained humble.
“I sincerely appreciate these individuals; they have endured unimaginable hardships so others may not have to. The journey through the School of Earth is incredibly challenging, and those who navigate it deep and wide in this realm rarely return unchanged. They learn to live alongside their experiences, finding ways to cope with the complex emotions that arise. Open communication becomes a lifeline for them, and exercise offers solace. These men are genuinely exceptional, embodying both strength and humanity. Thank you for going to hell's seventh level so others don't have to! “ ❤🔱🕊️
