I went to my first concert when I was 8 years old and it was KRS-one at Municipal stadium in Waterbury Connecticut. Their were opening acts before him, but he was the main event. I remember everyone rushing the fence and knocking it down to get to the stage to jump for some real live Hip Hop!! Shout out to my older cousin John he actually brought me because he knew I loved hip hop, but one of his boys was in a rock band for an opening act . I remember one of the DJs backspinning the Let Me Clear My Throat instramental before it became popular by DJ Kool. That was the essence of hip-hop right there
