Not a lyrical Master because he rhymed well, but because he articulated our struggles, our importance, and teachings of what was our problems in our society as a people. If I had to pick a true righteous rapper, I'd have to say KRS ONE....but then even calling him a rapper is an understatement. Are you a Philosopher.....Yes. and still greater than that. "Loves gonna get You" is such a powerful song and oh so relevant today. The true Art of rap is lost Today. No one teaching but Kendrick Lamar and he ain't free to be all he is with the record companies yoke around his neck. In the 80s, we were free to express all. KRS ONE, Ice Cube, Rakim, MC Lyte PLEASE rescue us from this new musical bondage.

I can recite almost any song of KRS I recall being backstage at Tramps about to watch Keith Murray Redman Erick Sermon on looked over it was KRS I said your Kris your vocabulary is beyond Dictionaries the best response smile that lit the room he said Yo I like that . There was this one bouncer who did not want me on stage regardless who I went there with while KRS was performing I ended being right on stage with Def squad as KRS ONE stated we need to show love to everybody who supports HIP HOP people like Sal from the fever and all these white kids who buy our music it was at that point when the bouncer noticed me there again shook his head with acceptance to KRS ONE words and let me watch the rest of the show from where I was.
