It is most certainly not a masterpiece. I had the game, sincerely dove into it for about a full week. I'm both amazed and disappointed he didnt even find the completely copied-over and in no way hidden broken bridge from the end of MW that you can use to cheese cops. This copy was buggy, couldnt even handle the pisspoor graphics the game came with, and the cops would regularly bug out. I still remember the last moment that made me shut the game off and never play it again. Somewhere near the middle of the map there was a small coastal town, end of a race. I finish and sit at a red light, still in a police chase because the cops are just FUCKING FLYING BY glitching through the road at what i could only guess was 600+ in game mph.

Nfs carbon was just regular carbon, nitro was specific to it cartoony arcade styling, idk about pro street, all i know is i didnt like any version of that game that i played. I remember KuruHS playing this on stream and when he use Supra on broken version Undercover, The lamborghini Cops went very very fast plus the cops shots Kuru Supra onto finish line, which is why the top speed of Lamborghini cops so crazy 😆
The fact that some of the visual assets (the road signs, for example) were even pulled from Underground 2 of all games shows just how much of a masterpiece this is.
Fun fact: it is the most wanted map with the 3 "districts" that you would unlocked in OG most wanted separated by long highways. They love using the Most Wanted maps as they mirrored too in Carbon: Own the City
@@paul_nthny No, in my opinion both the maps from MW2005 and Carbon OTC are way ok for me but this one's quite sucks. As some of you see, the dual loops was taken out from Undercover's map and that one was my favorite. So bad EA has messed up the beauty of the map from NFS Most Wanted 🥲

And do you wanna know why Downtown Rockport was my favorite borough in NFS Most Wanted? It's because the borough was kinda perfect a lot for doing something great there and it should had been accessible from the beginning and NFS MW also should had too having some crates scattered around Rockport like in COTC and this also would carried over to NFS Undercover PSP too (but Free Roam is dead in that aforementioned version)...
This was also the version for PS2 and it was where I first played Undercover. Also, a tip for when the heat level gets really high in pursuits: Head to the bridge on the right side of the screen. The jump will clear you from the cops.
Finally! Playing my Childhood NFS, this was actually pretty good one, I remember I first met this version of this game and the got to meet the PS3/PC version and ironically, I enjoyed this one the most
To me this looks like they took the gameplay, cars and customizations from Carbon, imported them on the Most Wanted map and engine, jumbled them together and then, optimized it to work on the Wii.
The wii version and the ps2 version is basically the same thing, but the ps2 one is better in my opinion . It has less glitches and it feels like it was completed compared to this version (aka the the M3 livery on the Porsche and so on). Maybe you should try it out?
@@aaronrojo636 the only problem that I had was the rubberbanding that happened sometimes. I didn't really mind it because I liked it, because it gave me a sense of enjoyment. Once in a while the outrun races took too long though lmao
This is the best game I had for Wii. It really was not the same Game that was on the PS3. But hey, it was very well developed (For a Wii) it has an awesome playlist, good challenges, decent driving physics and an actual storyline. Thanks for playing this masterpiece, brought so many memories.

Yes, the silicon cover helps you keep a good hold on the Wiimote. Almost an essential thing if you have sweaty hands

This is the same as the PS2 version. When I played my Wii copy, i used the Wheel format. It doesn't really work with the Wii port of Carbon. The Wii also got its own version of The Run along with the 3DS, and they even feature some remixes of Rom Di Prisco's music, though I think the 3DS version of The Run is better than the Wii version in terms of game control.
I played this PS2 version, and honestly, it was one of my favorite NFSs, because it is a junction of MW + Carbon with an interesting plot, I think this version is much better than the main PS3/X360 version (which is horrible).
It's the same as PS2 undercover, that's why they had to scale the graphics and map down to MW05 levels. Also this wasn't done by BlackBox. it was done by Exient, who also made Carbon and Prostreet for the DS and HP2010 for the Wii

I also often used the most wanted final jump to escape the cops too since the cops couldn’t jump the bridge
I hope they bring the start/finish flares in the New NFS that’s coming. Heat had them at the start but would make the despawn on circuit events and not have any in the sprint events at the finish
The Wii/PS2 version of NFS Undercover uses the 2005 Engine like MW05/Carbon/Prostreet, and uses an inverted, edited and cut out map of Rockport city to mimic the '08 PS3/X360/PC version. This was done because the older consoles couldn't handle the new 2008 Engine of the newer game.

I actually had a blast playing this Wii version of Undercover. I think the handling is better, plus there is no weird speed limit on any car. Tune the transmission and engine however you want and you can see what top speed is achievable. My favorite car is the Dodge Viper, which is also the fastest car in this game, followed closely by the Koenigsegg CCX. Easily win every race in both cars

And really only had dialogue outside of cutscenes in the final two missions of the PC and console versions of the game and its because he knows you're innocent to what the woman had gotten the cops to believe you did.
This version of Undercover was produced by Exient Entertainment under contract by EA and with love from Black Box. Black Box solely focused on the nextgen platforms at the time (PS3,X360,PC) and the majority of the features that were new in the nextgen version were unable to be brought over to the PS2 and Wii version (cuz the OG Xbox and Gamecube were practically dead by then). The Wii was a good platform to release the game on despite its faults due to large player base the console got even in its early years. Exient took the map and engine of NFS:MW (2005) (technically Carbon and ProStreet too) and tweaked it a bit to save costs since the budget for these versions was clearly lower and car models were less detailed than the previous titles on the Wii or PS2. Personally, I don't mind either version of the game, but I can see where other people get their takes from. Extra info for those who didn't know.
Pro Tip: The Charger in this game is busted. Not only stupid fast but can actually turn with tuning. It can literally carry you to almost the end of the game.
This game was a blast on PS2, it's not perfect, but nothing if not a great time. If you get to heat level 5 the police race around free roam at literal thousands of MPH, you should definitely do a series on this one There's also a really fun police mode that was the best for earning money. Highly recommend this game it was overlooked massively

When I was a kid I found a pron dvd in my brothers cupboard. 💀 It was called Naked Weapon. Years later I played NFS Undercover and saw that Maggie Q acted in it.
You can use a GameCube controller if your WiFi console has a the plug in areas on the side. It makes the game experience much better than using nunchuck. I use a wheel for a more realistic feel.
Theo! You can just use controller to play the game, it will detect is a gamecube controller if you are using emulation (if you are using dolphin emulator ofc)
Yooo this was my first nfs game and I gotta say this is one of my all time favourite nfs game. Definitely recommend to make a series on this. I feel this is actually better than the ps3 and xbox version
6 year old me was MAD for this game! I still have the 100% finished save file complete with matte yellow koenigsegg with blue flames, orange supra with an atrocious bodykit and countless others unholy creations. i even have some videos on my mom's old phone where i pretended to be a TH-camr and explained the different "secret areas" of the game 😂
The PS2 (and it seems the wii for some reason) build of Undercover was the best build of it, the later release of the PS3/PC just didn't hold up compared to it's older counterpart. Which is why anytime I say the Undercover was an amazing game, I mean the PS2 build. The new one wasn't horrible but it had its issues for sure and wasn't as good as the old one.
You should have played hot pursuit wii. That game was my childhood. With kinda good music. Odd but sort of realistic controls. And Mariokart like racing
This is the version of Undercover I grew up with, not on Wii, but PS2 (same game, slightly better graphics). I was always confused when people hated on Undercover because I always thought it was a great game, not knowing I was playing a totally different version than everyone else.

When I was a kid I found a pron dvd in my brothers cupboard. 💀 It was called Naked Weapon. Years later I played NFS Undercover and saw that Maggie Q acted in it.
That is NFS Carbon physics no doubt. It also has a more Carbon vibe than a undercover vibe.
This was my only experience with undercover but honestly I wasn’t mad, replayed this like crazy
I had soo much fun with this on ps2..... And imo it's better then the pc version.
You can use a GameCube controller if your WiFi console has a the plug in areas on the side. It makes the game experience much better than using nunchuck. I use a wheel for a more realistic feel.

Theo! You can just use controller to play the game, it will detect is a gamecube controller if you are using emulation (if you are using dolphin emulator ofc)

Yooo this was my first nfs game and I gotta say this is one of my all time favourite nfs game. Definitely recommend to make a series on this. I feel this is actually better than the ps3 and xbox version
6 year old me was MAD for this game! I still have the 100% finished save file complete with matte yellow koenigsegg with blue flames, orange supra with an atrocious bodykit and countless others unholy creations. i even have some videos on my mom's old phone where i pretended to be a TH-camr and explained the different "secret areas" of the game 😂

The PS2 (and it seems the wii for some reason) build of Undercover was the best build of it, the later release of the PS3/PC just didn't hold up compared to it's older counterpart. Which is why anytime I say the Undercover was an amazing game, I mean the PS2 build. The new one wasn't horrible but it had its issues for sure and wasn't as good as the old one.

This is the version of Undercover I grew up with, not on Wii, but PS2 (same game, slightly better graphics). I was always confused when people hated on Undercover because I always thought it was a great game, not knowing I was playing a totally different version than everyone else.
