Indonesia team is basically u23 young & inexperienced, into the first leg of the finals it really shows. I wish we could've played the 1st leg against thailand like how we play them in the 2nd leg. But went down the drain after they let go of Dooley and further worsened when the league couldn't start in 2020 and 2021. When they released Dooley, they passed from one coach to another like hot potato. Behind the scenes, Scott Cooper is the real coach but he sucks so bad that he's not even qualified to get an AFC A coaching license. Just look at Philippines vs Thailand, he fielded players who played in Thai league because of "familiarity" of playing the opponents ignoring the fact that the Thais were familiar of those Filipino players as well. Philippines just needs a long term manager and a stronger league and also better youth system

VFF is forever inferior to FAT. At the end of the third qualifying round, some Vietnamese fans will cry 'but we have better goal difference than Thailand in the 2018 qualifiers, so we're still better', but points matter more than goal difference. Before you ask me, I'm Vietnamese.
Our compatriots are a bunch of patriotic idiots when it comes to football. They failed to see problems in our football industry,as they hardly watch V-League (but still want the league to be as good as Thai League,lol). They failed to realize that we owed nothing to Park Hang-seo (he got paid by us and he has to do his job,it’s not like he comes as a saint telling VFF that I will help us), and now they treat Park and the players as if they are Buddha,whoever criticize them will be called ungrateful (lol). The most painful fail is that our fans failed to realize how sh*t our leadership in Vietnamese football industry is. They hardly played football before,sack managers when the public become outraged,and the last time they have done something good for Vietnamese football it’s at least 10 years ago,and I’m being generous. What is the result? The league is broken,the youth system is broken (only 8 proper academies,no football in schools),the mindset is broken,literally everything is broken. If VFF don’t get a complete reform soon Vietnam will come back to the sh*thole we belong in 2010s and this time we may never return to this level,can’t see Thailand even when we broke our neck looking up at them and maybe being surpassed by Cambodia.
They never dream for something bigger than Thailand,so Vietnamese football will hardly progress. Only when VFF vision gets bigger (I mean,why don’t we dream of World Cup? We have a big population who loves football,there is no way we can’t do it with dedicated leaders) then Vietnamese football can progress. If not,then after this generation we are doomed.

Philippines... Hmm... You should be happy that you're able to go toe to toe with Thailand and Singapore even without preparations. That's already big for a country who used to be a football minnow 15 years ago.
But there are still problems. Philippines had massive improvement in early-mid 2010s... But went down the drain after they let go of Dooley and further worsened when the league couldn't start in 2020 and 2021. When they released Dooley, they passed from one coach to another like hot potato. Behind the scenes, Scott Cooper is the real coach but he sucks so bad that he's not even qualified to get an AFC A coaching license. Just look at Philippines vs Thailand, he fielded players who played in Thai league because of "familiarity" of playing the opponents ignoring the fact that the Thais were familiar of those Filipino players as well. Philippines just needs a long term manager and a stronger league and also better youth system

They fielded players who haven't played for a year so their match fitness isn't on the top condition. 2020 AFF cup is winnable for the Philippines but they just sabotaged themselves with bad decisions and lack of preparations. If it wasn't for the players abroad, then Philippines would have end up at the bottom of the table
