For the Saudi Arabia game I feel you, in the 2016 European Cup Croatia was going against Portugal, they played incredibly passively for the whole game keeping it 0-0 even into overtime but 3 minutes before penalties Portugal scored a goal and in those 3 minutes Croatia got more shots then in the whole game. If they had played that way the entire game we could've won, for some reason Croatia plays better when they are losing.

Our league where only half of the league have proper academies, where they are more willing to pay for African farmer than playing the youth, where there is always a team that’s looking for pulling out because of the lack of funds? Our youth system where if your team is sh*t you play less than 10 matches a year, where there are no scouting at all, just relying on the tryouts? Where football in school is dead? We are living in a country where the national league is postponed for the national team training camp which take place at least a month, where they can leave the national stadium field to look like a cow paddock, where the football federation have an academy but it have provided as much talent to Vietnamese football as my high school’s team?

Actually know how to build a professional league with money helps lol
Here in Vietnam the clubs bear the name of being professional but most of them are hardly semi-professional. A Slovenian general manager say that only 20% of the clubs in Vietnam can be consider professional. Each year our league has a team that wanted to pull out of the league because of the lack of funds and clubs is disbanded because of that all the time. That much there is a time that if you are relegated from V-League you are broke.
And VFF don’t seem to support franchise league (there is times in 2011 when chairman of Hanoi ACB,now in jail cause of corruption, say that at least 7 clubs want to pull out of V-League and start a Vietnam Super Liga, which VFF don’t fancy and persuaded the team to stay, and by persuading,I mean begging them and give them everything they want) so…we’re not gonna go the Canadian,American,Australian and Indian way for now,and now us in Vietnam are stuck with some teams that have enough money and some teams that could go broke in a blink of eyes.

@@DungNguyen-dk8wm here in Canada, nobody is quite sure what "the canadian way" even is, our top domestic division nowadays is the new 3 year old Canadian Premier League which just announced it's 9th team and had been successful in terms of quality of play so far but we are still not sure on things like the format, whether or not pro/rel is going happen in the future because so far the league commissioner has expressed his intentions of having pro/rel yet it's still unknown if we can actually achieve that with the direction we're currently going however that said at least we have people who so far seem willing to invest in Canadian football long term

    • @DungNguyen-dk8wm

@@thetabbyguy921 in Vietnam not much people are willing to invest in football long term. There are only Hanoi FC,HAGL and Viettel that’s actually there in the top of Vietnamese football to stay. Most just keep the club for a few years then when the club get in some trouble or scandals they throw the clubs back to the sh*thole they belong before their reign.
SHB and Becamex have also stayed in Vietnamese football for years, but it seems that they don’t take it seriously enough.
Thanh Hoa have a culture of being abandoned by the same people who used to feed them and come back to the reign of Nguyen Van De. Now they are in Dong A hand now, hope they don’t mess it up like what FLC used to do.
Binh Dinh is like an old fellow friend of Vietnamese football who just returned with a sh*tload of money.
The Saigonese clubs also have some kind of money, but they have culture of throwing money away for useless things, useless players, useless deals. It’s like the board just buy the clubs to flex their financial muscles.
SLNA have just been taken by a rice company, and they’re investing a lot by upgrading their Vinh Stadium. And by upgrading the stadium,it seems they are rebuilding most of it.
Haiphong seems investing more in the goal to host World Cup qualifying in their home turf than in the club themselves lol.
Nam Dinh is like they could go broke in a blink of eyes. It could take all the money Nam Dinh is having now and it may still not enough to buy Quang Hai’s contract.
And that’s the sh*t show of the biggest league in Vietnam. Imagine V-League 2,V-League 3,V-League 4.

The Vietnamese national team has taken some amazing leaps forward over the last few years, but the VFF is slowly but surely screwing up the long-term efforts for them. Rather than treating the league as the breeding ground it is and should be, they treat it as an inconvenient scheduling obstacle for the national team. The season is only 26 games and even pre-Covid it was not unheard of for the league to take breaks of 1½ month for no other reason really than to accomodate the national team.
Vietnam has the potential to be a real powerhouse in Asian football, but you could write books about the things that need to change for that to happen.
Update: The schedule for the 2022 season has been announced. There's a 15-week break after round 4!!!
