BMW Gang here. Good top speed and a good behavior in the corner, decent curb eating abilities and the possibility to put on the throttle way before some of its competitors in the corner, even slightly before the apex sometimes, makes it a great car in 1v1 battles on track. It's easy to pass other cars on the straights and the other driver has a hard time fighting back, because he might be faster in the corners, but it's way harder to stick a move there.
Having just won a 15-race season in the 296, I would have to put that on my top-5. I agree with the McLaren but I would also put the BMW higher. I find the Audi and the AMG really difficult to drive quickly
Im fastest in the ferrari. But I like using the lambo evo 2 most of all. I'm trying to learn how to drive the gtr optimally it's a bit slower but good on like 3 tracks better then most like Paul Ricard. That's about it though haha. Whats funny is people may not realize this. But I've tested setups vs aggressive preset and I guess overtime thwy changed some things because now I can be as competative in the aggresive presets as I am in setups. Most wouldn't know this as most are using purely custom setups only. But there aggresive preset on some cars is amazing feeling. Like right with my style. I don't like quick short inputs I want to feel the grips and hugging. I want to lean on trail braking. It seems like there aggresive presets do this in many cars now. I can do well in the lambo evo2 aggresive preset. I can do great in the ferrari aggresive preset I'm talking d1 times. The gtr I've tried every setup under the sun and prefer the aggresive preset.

What's the issue with the Porsche 992?
Skill issue, cause it most difficult mid engine car in ACC
But still corner rocket for experienced drivers

The 720S seems low top speed for me, especially on mount panorama and Monza. had the best experience with the Ferrari 296
No car is perfect on all the tracks. Yes McLaren 720S Evo is slow out of corners. I do like the Ferrari 296 as well.
