- Demon Slayer Hinokami Chronicles Ranked Matches Gameplay. Today we take a look at some Academy Characters, namely Nezuko and Shinobu. Zenitsu is also slightly different, but those two are just better characters. If you want to play the best Nezuko, and the best Shinobu, it's not a choice anymore.

I was fighting a Shinobu who had a 75% combo. She’s definitely better than some people say. Probably just needs a lot of time in practice to get her combos down

Heres a tip you can actually switch characters to negate shinobu's poison entirely.
Having to use a bar of assist gauge to simply counter her poision should be considered a W for shonobu lol
Better than losing 50% of a 2 bar skill confirm.

@@demonaxe23 incorrect, she still has f the fastest normals in the game allowing for great pressure and pretty fast specials. The like 10% damage she loses from removing her poison doesn't take away from literally everything else she excels at. Not to mention she can poison you as a combo starter which you cant remove because you either take that combo with poison or you waste both assist bars to cop out. That's like saying Giyu is bad if you don't hit the counter, he has other things.
They should do an interaction with her where if the poison is enough to kill it triggers a cut scene maybe like when Douma sees her smiling

They haven't gotten that far in the anime
Know I'm a year late but I really don't get what's wrong with letting her kill with poison, if that poison wa sjust added to her base damage it would kill so what's wrong with poison doing it? Plus it could cause tense moments, say the Shinobu is also a onetap you could see people rushing desperately in to kill her before poison kills them

Academy Zenitsu actually has same situation as Nezuko. Because the movement is slower you're more likely to hit ult from air juggle combo than normal Zenitsu
Imagine a team i just threw together on day one becoming one of the best teams
I Think the poison should be able kill your opponents and not leave them at 1 health when they get low

When it comes to punishing opponents from a distance with regular shinobu all you have to do is dash into ultimate so in that aspect it's not a big difference
As a person who only played academy shinobu in training to unlock normal shinobu before starting the story, academy's ult is so much easier to hit
update: I take it back, it's not that bad once you get good a timing, can still be annoying with input delay but not that bad
Guess this a bonus for me since I prefer using academy shinobu because of her ult
normal shinobu ult is much more gorgeous in my opinion than academy not including the start up

Ngl I’ve never been a fan of the Academy skins, so it’s a relief to find that one of my mains, Zenuistu, is better than the Academy one.
The other main is Akaza for askers, might change to Rui sometimes tho

You can cancel poison by switching characters
I actually like the flip back. And I main her. A lot of people rush when they think you're retreating so I use it to raw level 3. Lol 😂
But you can do that without the flip back cause of invincibility
I have some Normal Nezuko Secrets to share cause I've Been using Kick then Claws Combo on base nezuko Since the 13th during the Swamp demon twins part in the story

this game is awesome the graphics shocked me its just online is sometimes laggy and there are the rengoku spammers I love rengoku I main him buuuuuuuut I learned about them when I played my first online match where my enemy hit me then used his skill then ran away he ran and ran and kept spamming his skill till he got ult LVL,3 then I lost

I have a combo with Nezuko that requires fast ultimate so I can't do it with academy, plus I don't have a problem with normal Shinobu, I'm fine I guess

Shinobu can use heavy in combos. Start an air combo, into sixfold thrust, heavy, air combo, sixfold thrust, and end with rising thrust.
Can also jump, sixfold thrust, heavy, air combo, sixfold thrust, ground combo, into rising thrust. 3 bars for about 3k damage

I find normal Nezuko better due to she hitconfirms into her Ult from the Flying Kick uncharged version while Aca.Nezuko does not.
Difference is the hitcount scale the Ults damage, so landning an uncharged Flying Kick into Ult is essentially same damage as landing it raw and you can convert any hit into the heeldrop > Flykick > Super, minimizing the hitcount to below 7, and with 3 bars, ToD characters with low defense like Hinokami.T, Rengoku, Shinobu and Zenitsu.

Actually someone does somewhere near 5k combo. I managed to create better combo but it is good to see not everyone does 4k dmg combo and cry afterwards.
With Nezuko i do the kick 2 times then hit claws, is that bad?

I’m thinking people are now getting to know how I felt through out the Naruto Storm series. How for some forsaken reason, some Ultimates and/or ninjutsu were locked to a character’s specific outfit or skin. Like why? In Demon Slayer it makes some sense bc characters play differently like some are more offensive and others are defensive, but in Storm they all played the same, so I never got why we couldn’t customize any and all jutsu available to every version of a character. And it didn’t matter from what era the character was from, bc it’s a game at the end of the day, so “power scaling” shouldn’t hold back from allowing me to use mini Tailed beast bomb on Sage Naruto with Six paths Resenshuriken.

It doesn’t matter how good your characters are legendary or ultimate alien or not you can still make it extremely good because it doesn’t matter of the worth of the character it matters how you use it
I main Shinobu and Nezuko so I have no problem using the Academy versions honestly.

can anyone help me with this i have a serious problem with this game and its online. So i bought the game on steam and connected a ps5 controller to play and theres a delay like a VERY noticeable delay at first and side note i CANT go into ranked matches, its impossible like it says communication error occurred and it annoys me because i CANT join a room like what? and creating and searching for rooms people have bad conneciton even with specific instrutions for good internet im really confused and im starting to worry if its me or the game???? im in desperate help and i can go into more detail if needed but please if anyone can help i would love it
PC has matchmaking issues. You'll need to wait for a patch where hopefully this is addressed

I don't mind Rengoku players, as long as they can do combos and aren't just spamming moves, that's only when I can respect them.

I hate how the walls in this game make you drop combos so easily. Combo strings are so long you always run into the wall and you just gotta hope the combo doesn't drop.

Sorry, but there're Shinobu combos that do way more damage, don't use an assist, and use 2 bar
Lol if someone has more than 6 disconnects I tend not to fight them, 9 times out of 10 they suck and end up ragequitting.
I have exactly 6 disconnects but i swear on my life all of them are just because im on public wifi i usually think players think im a rage quitter though because of it even though in every disconnect i was winning.

Well, you got to have that or else you'd melt someone's health bar in one combo. That also happens with all fighting games too i believe

A wonderful thing called scaling so those getting their asses whooped have a chance to fight back
Well raw ults should be rewarded more as you can get punished for a bad read.
In this game, the more hits you do, the more the ult will scale.
Ideally you do one of your Skills into ult and you will do more than if you do a long combo due to scaling.

How do you unlock them?
Go to rewards and go to the academy section. You'll get them by completing it
Shinobu is perfectly fine, hit your base combo into multiple thrust & then your ultimate. Clearly aint been putting in time on her shes supposed to be in people face applying pressure focus on the poison & multi thrust special to build & end combos. Its really simple my guy no support needed unless u want more damage.
